Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

It was called a completed pass for Ped Aggy...even though he was a full stride out of bounds.

Ped Aggy scores to win the game. I think that there was another call (against Alabama?) where the opposing receiver catches a ball at least a full yard in from the back of the endzone, and Ref Guzman call him out of bounds.

What was the call on the play in the picture? I'm not familiar with that moment.

Complete pass when his feet never even got close to coming down inbounds. Terrible, terrible call. This is why JoePa hated being in the B1G and chased down refs all the time. He kept forgetting that the refs were not in his back pocket anymore.

Basically, Joe has been a fraud for a long, long time. I have stated this before, but I know a lot of old players from PSU that were playing when Joe got the HC job (South Florida, Americas Rest Home) and not one of them talk very highly of him. Just sayin'.

Yea, I think there's no other place in America where he could have kept up the act for as long as he did than State College: nothing for a hundred miles in any direction, representing a huge chunk of local economic activity and minimal media that quickly learned not to question what went on in the program or else be denied access.

Completed pass. PSU is able to score and win the game thus denying Nebraska of a NC

completed pass and Ped Aggy scores like 2 plays later. this game denied Nebraska a shot at Alabama (then #1) until the Sugar Bowl when Ped Aggy beats Bama to win JoePed his first recognized National Championship....

On ND to the Big Ten.Reply somebody posted an interesting question. Did ND see the treatment PSU has gotten in the B1G and sour on this conference? No question that ND is much better aligned, geographically, with the B1G than the Big East. yet, there they are.

Re: On ND to the Big Ten.Reply
ND like others in the nation sees the Big Ten as a dying conference. When a conference goes so far out of its way to promote just two members of the conference it becomes old and stale. Just think what it would be like if the SEC, PAC 12, ACC, etc. did all they could to promote just two members. ND was smart to align with the ACC and not join the Big Ten.
