Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Today's entry to the "Pot calling the kettle 'Black'" archives, I submit this post in a thread about someone named Wimbush and his decommit from Penn State to Notre Dame:

Strange 3 days after 1 visit, but if he prefers it there fine. Maybe he liked the religious factor. It's a great school but a dumpy town in Indiana. Never understood the attraction to ND, but to each their own!

I've driven through State College, PA. I had to make it a point to do that, otherwise, who would? It's in the middle of no where - and not in the middle of Point A to Point B. It's like 10 miles away from... what is that? I-86 or something? Nothing special about State College, PA. Nothing. This is kinda like the way Penn State fans think of the rest of the teams in the Big Ten as being in "Hick Towns" or whatever. They aren't "big city" enough for Penn State. Little do they know that there is 1 Big Ten team (I forget which) that is in a smaller city than State College, PA. (Note that I did that research before Nebraska joined. I don't know where Nebraska, Rutgers, or Maryland rank, but I'd bet that they're all bigger than State College.)

Somehow they think because they consider themselves an "Eastern" school, that magically the campus is transported to Manhattan and out of the cow patties it actually sits on.

I went to BWI looking for some Wimbush related meltdowns- which haven't washed over the site yet.
Well, since the news was made official by Wimbush's Coach, Kelly, and the young man himself, Both BWI and Audibles are in full scale meltdown mode now! Too many threads to link, but some good reading over there!
Real classy fans there, with one calling him a scumbag, and others trashing the kid. Apparently, they have some of their other top recruits who have decided to take official visits elsewhere, so they also starting to turn on Franklin. :slappy:

What I find most troubling in all of this is that nobody with a national voice has cared to go on record with the fact that the ncaa's new policy on reporting such abuse is literally a page taken out of Paterno's book.

I keep seeing them parrot this point, but in my admittedly cursory search for anything even remotely similar to what they're saying, I came up empty. Are they just pulling that out of their asses or is there something, even if only tangentially related, to it?

They are pulling it out of their collective ass.

Remember, in their minds the only "victim" is their almighty, their everything, their joesus.

Here's just a straight up thread about how South Bend is a dump while State College is glorious.

State College is the perfect college town. Idyllic and peaceful. Very low crime - mostly just kids being kids as Joe would always say. Surrounded by mountains on all sides and peaceful Amish in the more rural parts of Centre County.

When they're not getting boned up the ass and ruining peoples' weekends..............as Joe would always say.

Oh, and

Someone (Gerd, I think) tweeted that Brian Kelly had tweeted about the Wimbush flip and included "#WeAreND"...... Apparently the cult did not appreciate it.

I don't dislike Brian Kelly quite as much as I did yesterday.......
