Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Or proof that Joe Paterno is not really dead...LONG LIVE JOESUS.

JOESUS, who loved us so much that he refused to ruin our weekends. JOESUS, who in his moment of doubt on the lawn resolutely declared, "BEAT NEBRASKA!" JOESUS, who marched into the Big Ten meetings and overturned the tables of the referees. JOESUS, who healed ten big ten schools but only one had the humility to go back to JOESUS and thank him. JOESUS, who so loved college football that he gave us instant replay.

When Jesus takes a crap in his pants, it appears as the face of JOESUS.

Your potty mouth point really is not accurate. My parents said whenever they would sit immediately behind the PSU bench when Coach Paterno was younger, he would jack up and curse like crazy all the time at players behind the bench. Every curse word imaginable. Not on TV, but certainly in action during the game. So please, get over that requirement.

Is someone suggesting that Joesus had a bad habit? Is this guy still alive?

It just infuriates me that these idiots fell for the image that Paterno spent his whole coaching career crafting. It's so over the top obvious. These idiots truly believe the man didn't swear. I'm sure the kind of guy who chases down referees and gets into shouting matches during handshakes after games is so above swearing. Any D1 football coach who is 10% of what they believe Paterno to be would get run out of the game within a year because 1) His team wouldn't respect him and 2) He wouldn't have any players worth a shit.

Can't we all just agree that Jimmy is the bestest coach who ever coached any sport at any time in history*

Other than Joesus (hallowed be his name and all praise upon him) of course.

BEAT NEBRASKA!

That's how the Joesus Cult will view him until he moves on to greener pastures. Then he'll be nothing more than a vulgar, rude, schlub who tried to walk in almighty leader's footsteps and failed horribly.

Ha - yeah - reach out and touch him. Nice joke.
Video is of Texas fan saying he doesn't like Joe Paterno.

Other than Texas A&M and Miami of Ohio, there is no other school on the planet for creating grandiose, self-serving myths about itself that its students and alumni then proceed to disseminate as gospel..

The reality is that Joesus, after Ohio State lost, could have set up a 1-2 showdown with Texas if he had wanted it. He chose to duck the Longhorns with the hope of winning the NC in the polls. Of course, Joesus and his cult have come to tell the story as Joesus refused to take his black players into Texas, and selflessly gave up a shot at a NC in order to look out for their safety. Those three kids in Mississippi? Those three girls in Birmingham? Fuckin' amateurs. Joesus won the fight for civil rights by refusing to play a football game.

They've created a similar--and similarly fabricated--story as to how the whole WE ARE chant came about.

Say what you will about the tenets of Wolverinism, but at least it's an ethos. These fuckin' people, dude. These are not worthy adversaries.
