At worst, Sandusky had inappropriate relations with some teenagers. I'm not going to lose any sleep over that. When I was their age, I was the only virgin within three city blocks. If you toss and turn at night worrying about teenage boys getting a little whoopie, then I have no sympathy for you. There is no way you could be that sheltered. I'm just saying, if you're going to sit at your keyboard and tell me that you were an innocent, little puppy in Dora the Explorer PJs when you were a teenager, there is going to be a story in the newspaper soon of you being struck by lightning.

However, I am still convinced that the prosecution's case was based entirely on fabrication. I do not trust the big red-haired guy. Sandusky doesn't have the psychological profile of a predator.

You can always tell a predator. They have a sort of wolfish, hungry stare. It's pretty unmistakable. Sandusky doesn't seem to have that level of focus.

Sorry to pop your balloon, but this comes across to me as another media-driven scandal.

This Pat Summit vs. Joe Paterno poll is really fascinating. Check that - the cult's belief that this poll is important is fascinating. I really don't find the poll, itself, interesting. But I would like to see Pat Summit win so that the cult can cry.

Apparently, the cult declared victory and went to bed. Meanwhile, Tennessee kept on voting.

There was no WAY ESPN was going to let Joe win. The fact that voting is still open on the 4th just supports this more fully. They are hoping beyond hope that the vote changes naturally, but I bet ESPN has people on their own site just plugging in votes for Summit over and over.

Joe Pa is the greatest and everyone knows it. Receiving the most votes by cheating proves that everyone knows that Joe Pa is the greatest. The only way Joe Pa will lose is if someone cheats. Joe Pa is the greatest and everyone knows it.

Similar circular logic has been used for decades to explain losing in happy valley. It is, without a doubt, a deeply ingrained psychological deficiency with many cult members.

Yep. The coach who, for decades, ran the most crooked home ref crews in college football history only lost games because the Big Ten refs were out to cheat him.

Now there's a set of cast iron cajones with lots of Moxie and a bit of chutzpa thrown in for good measure. "The other guys are rigging this, while we are merely stuffing the ballot box. They need to grow up." the logic is simply stunning.
