You mean Joestown is not the utopia its been portrayed...except for that little child rape thing.I've been there. I was not impressed.

Sandusky's wife goes on offensive against accusers
Speaking with The Associated Press, she said her husband had informed her when complaints were made against him regarding showering with boys in 1998 and 2001.
Those complaints didn't seem to worry Jerry Sandusky, she said, even though one spawned an investigation by police and child protective services and the other resulted in a restriction against him bringing children into Penn State facilities.
"He didn't think a thing about it," she said

2001! So JoePed went to Sandusky about it but not the cops or children's services?
Dottie Sandusky, who was a defense witness and did not see others testify, said the accusers' testimony shouldn't have been given more credence than her husband's version of events. He did not take the stand and has declined repeated requests for an interview.
"(His lawyers) felt the trial was going well enough that he did not need to testify," she said. "Jerry wanted to testify, but they felt he didn't need to testify."
I'm not a lawyer. I know little about courtroom policies, procedures, strategies. But this part caught me as fairly strange:
Is this a game? They felt they were winning by enough points that they could sit on their lead? I can see why you aren't throwing into double coverage when you're up by 4 with 30 seconds to go, but this is a matter of spending time in prison or being set free. Or are they so ingrained in the mindset of Dear Leader, and His eternal class and unwillingness to run up the score, that they decided to keep it close? Why wouldn't the defense unleash all they had in their arsenal?
I'm not a lawyer (and I didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night), but I have a feeling in that case, you don't put the pedophile on the stand unless absolutely necessary. In other words, there was the (great) potential that putting Sandusky on the stand could have done more harm than good. From my perspective, that would have been a good thing.I'm not a lawyer. In fact coaches often aren't punished and are often rewarded with greater rewards at their next site of employment; Bruce Pearl, Calipari and Pete Carroll come instantly to mind, but there are several more in recent history. Bobby Petrino didn't cheat at recruiting, but......You can't just punish the head coach...
I was actually in favor of allowing the teams that accept Penn State transfers to increase their maximum number of scholarships, with a maximum of 2 or 3. That way, if a player's Plan B was to go to Institute for Nerdflingers University, INU wouldn't reject him on the grounds that they already have 85 scholarship players.
