That's why Penn State is pretty much fucked until the cult begins to die off in large numbers. They'll never reconcile themselves to a Penn State that isn't centered around and upon Joesus' legacy and they'll never stop trying to bring down the university in order to vindicate Joesus.

Which leads me to the issue of their new President. I see two scenarios. Scenario one is that he's going to appease the cult by apologizing to the Paternos and bringing the statue back. Honestly, I just can't see this as being the case given the people (Ericson and the hated BOT) who hired him unless he blatantly lied to their faces. Scenario two is that what happened at FSU in the Winston case was so disgusting and unnerving to him that even the PSU job and dealing with the cult was viewed as preferable to dealing with the FSU football culture.
