Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

All of the above I think. Plus, as ORD stated, their sense of moral superiority and entitlement is out of this world.
In their minds, it's inconceivable that a bunch of dumb hicks from "Ahia" could possibly get the best of a "world class blueblood east coast university"
Their arrogance truly rivals or exceeds that of the scUMmers.

It's a Central Pennsylshitholia thing. They think they are the Middle Kingdom.

He also broke the hearts of lots of kids around here.

Franklin looks promising to carry their legacy forward. Sandusky left some awfully big shoes to fill in the heartbreak department, though. (Shower shoes, that is.)

He said he’d gotten too much interest — “4,500” offers, he said — to blow up balloons at birthday parties, a comment he made during his introduction at a news conference last week.

He said that while he can’t be at every birthday party, he hopes people understand that he means he wants to be very visible in the State College and Penn State communities.

Lazy slacker. Jerry would have found a way to accept all of those invitations.

Texas has plenty of entitled fans..the Teasippers and the Aggies..annoyed the pumpkin out of me the 6 mos I lived there.

Aggy is just bizarre, more in the cult vein of the pedsters.

Texas definitely has their whole holier-than-thou arrogance though and an almost delusional view of their school's place in the higher education and college football landscape. Every Texas alum is utterly convinced that UT is Berkeley, UVA and TSUN all rolled into one, and that everyone in the country believes it too. They also stubbornly have the pedsters attitude that their football program is squeaky clean and full of Rhodes Scholars. I just read a post on the shag this morning where he lumped UT into the potential D4 schools that will fight for higher academic standards for football players along with Stanford, Duke and Northwestern--this from a school that for over a decade has had rock bottom APR scores and graduation rates in the 30s and 40s.

It was in the 70s they had no regard for anyone from north of Texas...

Austin is the opposite of State College. Austin is just about the coolest town there is for young people to enjoy music and outside living. No statues of pedophile enablers, either.
We had to know that the "idol" would one day come back out of mothballs. The cult wants to bring back worship of their god.

No, but tejas does build statues for prominent football boosters.

Besides, Franco is getting tired of driving all the way to Stowaway Self Storage every day to perform his ritual sacrifices.

edit. OK, it's confirmed now. I have entirely too much free time on my hands...:shake:
