Re: Both are lower-tier NFL jobs.Reply

I tend to agree. He is going to parlay this into what he views as a big time job with a good chance to succeed. Neither Billy O'Brien nor Billy Madison is going to mistake either of those jobs for jobs with a good chance of success. Someday he will be coaching one of a few NFL franchises he has in his crosshairs. If he believes in Hack then he knows his position only gets stronger. Pittsburgh Steelers timing might be right! I can only wish.

:slappy:

Let's see here - if he goes to Detroit he gets to work with a very-talented yet fat and sloppy QB, the 2nd best WR ever and a top 5 offense in the NFL overall. OR he gets to coach AP and be the archietect to getting Minnesota back into respectability. Yet both of these scenarios are small time compared to a Head Coaching job in the middle of nowhere in Pennsylshitholia :slappy:

[9fold]If he leaves it's all because he wants to get away from the Board of Trustees[/9fold]

Yeah, that's it. It couldn't have anything to do with the sickening cult that he's stumbled into and that will turn on him the moment he loses too many games.
...or the fact that the NFL is simply a step up from a mediocre football program in the backwoods of pennsylvania.

I think both Brian Kelly and Bill O'Brien are going to the NFL after this season (NFL season). You saw both of Kelly's coordinators jump ship already.

PSU will probably make a play for Greg Schiano (if O'Brien leaves). Probably Al Golden as well.
