2002 team crushed the souls of 3-4 Heisman hopefuls, trolled UC fans into thinking they had a shot and gave Miami what was possibly the greatest cock punch of all time. In fact they trolled the entire CFB world into thinking "this is the week those lucky bastards lose" 14 times. That's the gold standard imo and I don't think it could ever be topped. The Miami program still hasn't recovered.

This years team is doing some fine work but the 2002 team just went Slingblade on the psyche of the CFB world in general. It was so bad it resonates in media hate to this very day.

I finally asked my PSU buds last night what they thought about the game... BAD MOVE... dang, they are HOSTILE... they spewed hatred all over Urban.. ran up the score.. "he'll get his".. I said "how? do you not see what he's recruited in the last couple years?".. kept Miller in too long.. I reminded them Miller never saw a play in 2nd half.. didn't matter... I reminded them that the backup QB scored twice and 3rd string had significant PT.. they ranted about having a FR QB... and abusing him... duh.. reminded them that we used Freshmen RBs and defensive line... and that it was actually difficult knowing who was in because a lot of #s weren't ones I see much... I stopped when I was afraid they were going to have aneurysms.. sheez, talk about not being able to take a joke
