I reminded them that the backup QB scored twice and 3rd string had significant PT.. they ranted about having a FR QB... and abusing him... duh.. reminded them that we used Freshmen RBs and defensive line... and that it was actually difficult knowing who was in because a lot of #s weren't ones I see much... I stopped when I was afraid they were going to have aneurysms.. sheez, talk about not being able to take a joke

I was at my brothers last weekend. His wife was having one of those stupid parties where all her friends come over and buy shit from some lady. The women stayed upstairs, we stayed downstairs watching the 60 inch TV. At the end of the night the one with the biggest mouth came down and said this to my brother: "I have to ask you a question and I want a serious answer, not a typical asshole Ohio State fan answer......did you think it was too much when Urban ran up the score on Penn State?"

He has more patience than I do. He explained how the backup QB took over in the 3rd and the 3rd string guy was in by the 4th....didn't matter. He explained that Penn State's best player was catching passes late in the 4th, and their first string D was still out there late in the 4th......didn't matter. She kept coming back with "Sure Ohio State is a great team, I just think running up the score should be beneath Urban."

Apparently this chick is on a first name basis with our coach. You could tell she was just parroting what she heard her husband/boyfriend say. She finally ran out of stupid things to say and walked away....probably feeling like she had convinced us that our coach was a dickhead.

Or you could go with something along the lines of "if you don't support beating the shit out of Penn State as much as possible you love child rapists."

It makes about as much sense as them crying about running up the score.

It's just the mentality these assholes have that was fostered by decades of Paterno being Paterno. They can't possibly fathom that they were beaten so soundly because they just weren't as good by a wide margin....something sinister must have been at hand. That's what happens when you spend 70 years beating Bowling Green and Slippery Rock.

That's when you say, "I gave you the serious answer you asked for, so spare me your typical asshole Penn St fan delusion that your team can't possibly just be that bad."

I wish Urban had on-side kicked, thrown it deep, then piled on some more in the 2nd half. If they're going to accuse you of running it up at 63, might as well score 84 or 91.
