Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Re: PL: Wrong, Mr. Lubrano.Reply

These students have no idea what Lubrano and others like him stand for. Shameful on the part of these students.

Um, dumbass, those who signed it were alumni, not students.

And they wonder why people don't take them seriously? They live in their own little world.

Scary thought, but how much longer is it going to be before one of these whackjobs sets himself (and his cardboard joe) on fire on the 50 yard line, or worse yet, ends up on top of that giant erector set with a sniper rifle? They are completely delusional!

They would never disgrace "Paterno Field" nor ruin anyone's weekend. So that's out. I, however, seriously hope that there is some serious security around the President's office and Board of Trustees.

Tug Speedwell has not been forgotten.

Some guy claims to be French and for some reason wants to be at a Penn State game, and wants to know what gameday experiences he is supposed to have. People piping in here and there with advice, but someone brings up Tug:

Yeah they really sucked up to this guy. "Oh boy, a Frenchman coming to Happy Valley. Let's take him to a student bar, have him watch the parade of the bulls to the arena and then get him some ice cream."

And did you notice that Thomasino the Frog stopped posting once Fairgambit posted the whole crazed conspiracy theory en Francaise, proving the BWI faithful to be bi-lingual loonies? And why would you pick Thomasino as your moniker if you wanted to convince people you were French when the French spelling of Thomas is Thomas?

So now I see a contingent from BWI waiting at Chumley's with flowers, Peachy Paterno, a 5'10 cut out of Joe and the marching band playing La Marseillaise in the background. Le jour de gloire est arrive!!!!

How you gonna keep 'em down on the farm after they've see Parreeee...

Personally I was delighted when Penn State joined the Big Ten. At the time I was tired of the Lions going through a string of games with Syracuse and Pitt being the toughest opponents and demanding to be crowned National Champs. I was sure they would be good, but that they'd soon find out what it took to get through a Big Ten schedule (at the time, quite a bit more of an accomplishment than today- and the slide of PSU contributes to that). Thank you Michigan, bless you Iowa, well done Wisconsin - throw in a number of upsets to Michigan State, Minnesota, Purdue, along with the Buckeyes you've proven what was known all along about Penn State football.
