Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Yeah, I saw that. Which is idiotic, because they changed the rules a couple years back and the out-of-bounds clock stoppage only applies under the two minute mark now. I just can't believe the coach and announcers don't even know the rules any more. :lol

My guess is O'Brien was still going by the NFL rule of under 5 minutes (and he should have known, but he's only been in college football a season), but there's no excuse for the announcers not knowing.

We lost to a top 15, possibly top 10 team todayReply

who I think will make a BCS bowl. They have one if the top 5 qbs in the country and great offensive talent. We will learn from this and be competitive in big ten play. Defense has to improve its tackling, and more live tackling drills in practice will help. I think well be alright in the long run this year. At least it wasn't a conference game.

Right!

Okay, who is this:

eversotrueSOtrue wrote: Someone on your payroll, raped and molested children for years. Your head coach found out and did nothing, which in my opinion a proper response would have been instantly handing him over to authorities and/or murdering him. And your administration tried covering it up. The way some of you penn state fans have handled/responded to this should buy you a one way ticket to hell. Get some ******* perspective you awful people.

Regarding the clock stopping issue near the end of the game...Reply

I think BOB was PO's because the clock kept running - even though the player went out of bounds, it never stopped. The clock is supposed to stop and then start on the referee's signal, but it never stopped at all. I can't remember if UCF got a first down on that play, but if they did, the clock should have stopped for that as well.

Re: Regarding the clock stopping issue near the end of the game...Reply

Ya but still supposed to stop until the ref signal never did. incorrect call

God forbid they actually watch the replay for the real FACTS and EVIDENTS.

The voice of not-quite-as-fucking-crazy proves the idiots wrong.
I just timed it, the clock stopped at 2:42 for 11.5 seconds. Stop makingReply

excuses. Bill just didn't know the rule was different than in the NFL. The clocked stopped both because it was a first down, and because it was out of bounds, and it stayed stopped for a full 11.5 seconds before being wound again.
