Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

It would be nice if Maryland replaced them as the "East Coast power". But in the end I doubt it will happen and they will both suck with PSU sucking at sucking slightly more than Maryland.
You're just not paying attention. The B1G doesn't want an East Coast Power. They only want Ohio State and Michigan. It would be foolish of them to want anything resembling what the SEC has with 12 teams in the top 10. They want to fuck over their member institutions because they're jealous that Penn State does things the right way.

12 teams in the top 10? How do you figure?

It's 12 teams in the top 5

Unholy crap. They just said one of the arguments in the appeal is that the victims waited a collective 73 years to report a crime. Well, gee, if you're going to count it that way, I guess he should have molested ten times the kids, because waiting 730 years is a better argument.

Where's a nice strong bolt of lightning when you need one?

Was just reading that in an article and was thinking the same thing:

Wait...so now it's bad to wait to report a crime?

Just watched a great Orson Welles movie last night, the Stranger. The following quote from the Welles character about the Germans reminds me of a certain fan base.

The German sees himself as the innocent victim of world envy and hatred, conspired against, set upon by inferior peoples, inferior nations. He cannot admit to error, much less to wrongdoing, not the German. ... He still follows his warrior gods marching to Wagnerian strains, his eyes still fixed upon the firey sword of Siegfried, and he knows subterranean meeting places that you don't believe in. The German's dream world comes alive when he takes his place in shining armor beneath the banners of the Teutonic knights.

Penn State weighs option of $30 million loan

The financial impact of massive sanctions is hurting Penn State’s athletic department, leaving the school to consider taking out a loan to keep the program running in the black.

Penn State was fined $60 million by the NCAA as part of the hefty sanctions levied against the university last year. The school is also not eligible for any postseason payouts from the Big Ten, leaving $2.3 million t be split among the eligible Big Ten schools and attendance has dipped since the implementation of a controversial seating program even before the startling revelations and fallout of the Jerry Sandusky scandal. Penn State’s home games still attract a solid number but the capacity percentage of Beaver Stadium continues to drop. With fewer people in the stands, there are fewer programs, hot dogs and beverages being sold. This all adds up and it is beginning to cost Penn State.

Penn State Athletics Director David Joyner has discussed the idea of a $30 million load to help the short-term budget concerns within the athletics department with the financial committee of board of trustees. According to a report by Ben Jones of StateCollege.com, “Penn State’s ending reserve balance over the next five years is projected to dip as low as 5.52 million dollars in the red.” According to the report, Penn State would use $5 to $10 million of the loan to open a line of credit to cover upcoming costs through 2016 while the remainder would be used to cover other short-term needs.

Re: Did You SERIOUSLY Think I'd Stop Pushing Tomorrow's Protest????Reply

Exactly the students are the key to bringing this corrupt house down. It's time for them to grow up and realize what is happening to their University and ultimately them. I'm actually shocked that it hasn't happen yet. If the Joe Paterno's of the world can't be stood up for and defended who's left?

It speaks for itself.

If you have to borrow money to meet cash flow shortfalls you aren't running in the black numbnuts

Gotta remember who you're dealing with here. Through the years, PedState gave JoePa several "loans" that he was never forced to repay (or report to the IRS). Perhaps they're thinking the banks will give them the same deal. THEY ARE... (you know)
