Rut Roh,
They're starting to get worried about the Fed's investigation into Clery Act violations.

Penn State's players need to put in a new play this year-Reply the "over-the-ref" (OTR) play. My teammates and I worked this in high school. You come to the line and see where the refs have lined up. The qb says a code word like Ringo (right) or Louie (left) to signify which way the play is going, and the snap goes on a long-ish count to give everyone a chance to see it. It is usually directed at the ref who stands just behind the LOS. In our league the refs used to cheat one side or the other of the MLB/Center so they could see into the backfield. The qb would run the OTR play to that side, and the center, guard and tackle would run right over the f'ing ref while the QB tried a naked boot to that side. Usually lost yards, but we ran right the F over those refs. Yeah they were grown men, but we had pads. They didn't. A great play for second and 29 from our own 35, but only used when the refs were f'ing us.

I think the BOT should consider buying the BWI site and then shut it down. (Looking for the factious font) It's causing the school great harm to have these opinions and attitudes broadcast daily in some Goebbels-inspired logic.

Whatever compassion I had for their fans has evaporated and now turns into growing contempt with each new posting. I continue to be amazed at their belief that any new discovery can only be positive, not a further indictment of what went on in an obviously corrupt relationship between Joe Pa and administration.

The Cult of Paterno runs a lot deeper than the crazies at BWI. Just look at their BoT elections. They've had two full elections for a total of six alumni selected seats, and every one has been won by a Paterno Cultist. The only questionable one was Adam Talieferro, and since he was a former player, the cult blindly assumed he was a full-blown cultist. Hell, the clown who set up the rally for resignations actually just missed being elected--came in 6th out of over 40 candidates.

Their alumni base is by and large Paterno Cultists, which is why I really don't care what kind of shit they take in Columbus this Fall.

Someone with some more knowledge of these things than I have, please help me understand (ORD)..... Are the feds who are doing the Clery Act investigation looking only for crimes related to the Sandusky case, or are they looking at any and all crimes that have been covered up?

As far as I understand it's not a criminal investigation but a regulatory one.

Under federal law, universities are supposed to report detailed crime statistics to the dept. of education. Penn State never did this. In fact, JoePed unilaterally exempted the entire athletic department from any compliance whatsoever (gee, I wonder why), and this could have huge ramifications up to and including being ineligible for any federally backed student aid and any federal government research funds.

[\mutant cult]Right. But there there are no crimes to report, what are you supposed to? Our guys never committed a single NCAA violation under Joe's watch. Based on that, anyone with common sense would be able to see that they never broke the law either. FAX! Evidents!![\mutant cult]

[mutant cult]Wait a minute. He was just the football coach.... Do you expect me to believe that a simple football coach (who didn't even use email or know what man-boy rape was) single-handedly pull the strings behind an entire university's athletic department?[mutant cult]

Actually if a Pedster ever brings that line up, tell them to show you the FACTS and EVIDENTS of it.

The reason I say that is because they cannot. There was no compliance office to keep such records, so while there isn't concrete evidence that they occurred, there's no evidence saying that violations never occurred as well.

Fun times

That almost seems like something that'd get you in some hot water with the NCAA, doesn't it? :wink2:
