Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

To be fair Ohio State did a lot to help in setting offensive football back those 120 years two years ago.

But Ohio State was replacing a 3 year starter at QB, several starters on offense and also replacing a legend Head Coach. What was Alabama/LSU's excuse?

I kind of see both sides, but on the other hand, even when Ped State has had good seasons, it didn't help the perception of the conference by the inbred SEC chest thumpers. ESPiN has a bigger stake in talking up the SEC than the B1G, so even if the B1G goes undefeated OOC and Ohio State blows all the other Big Ten teams out by 50 pts, Mark May will still talk shit.

Do they think Thornburgh is STILL attorney general? The man is 81 years old.

If he were the Pope he would be stepping down about now.

What I find interesting in their myopic logic is that they suggest Freeh was a hired gun to give PSU what it wanted. The Freeh report is not at all what they wanted to hear. He was paid to give an honest report that moved them forward.

It is Thornburgh who is the tool paid by a client with a clear vested interest to come to one and only one conclusion.

Obtuse with a capital O.

Not if those other Big Ten teams can win a bowl game once in a while.
Even Urban said, and will take it up with the coaches, that the conference needs to get much better.

Right, quit this [Mark May] and somebody post a picture or message board post by a retarded Ped State fan, or if you don't have that, a picture of a hot chick with big [censored].

Since I saw Jay Paterno making the rounds the past couple days (in terms of media), did Jay Paterno or anyone in the Paterno family turn down any interviews recently?

Seems like they'll talk to anyone and reminds me of the Westboro Baptist Church members (who'll talk to anyone for publicity).

NCAA sanctionsReplyWhat is everyone's "gut feelings" on sanction reductions, in light of this new information?
My heart says we will be bowling in '15, but my gut says Emmert ain't budging!

Part of me would love to see the NCAA give Penn State back their bowl games, but keep everything else, and Penn State just fails to be bowl eligible for the following 5 years. (Or more)
