I'm telling you, Penn State was Boise State before Boise State was Boise State- only people were smart enough to totally ignore their success against pathetic independent schedules back in the day.

So, without bowl games, that's a combined opponent record of 145-173-3 in those three undefeated season.

They actually played what I would consider a tough schedule in '82 but learned their lesson and got back to their Boise State ways in '86 by toning down the regular season matchup to one good team.

Of course, it's the grand conspiracy keeping them down now that they are playing in a real conference and not the fact that they aren't playing a clown school schedule anymore.

I was watching "The Journey" on BTN. They were covering Zach Boren's last home game, so that part was interesting.

But they also covered the end of the 2012 season for PSU. They showed Mauti getting hurt, and Steve Jones (PSU play-by-play announcer) said something during that game broadcast like "It's a shame something like this has happened to this kid".

So real progress has been made. Folks in the PSU community are now showing signs of being concerned about the health and welfare of "kids" on the PSU campus.

Watching rat face coaching Duke last night, it dawned on me that there are a lot of similarities between Duke and Ped Aggy.

Both coached by an ethnic coach with a rat face.

Both coaches carefully created and nurtured this myth of themselves as holier-than-thou and morally superior to the rest of college football/basketball.

Both universities consider themselves as superior to what they really are. Duke considers itself a peer of Harvard-Yale-Chicago-Stanford etc. Ped Aggy considers itself one of the "top public universities in the country" in league with Cal, UCLA, UVA or tsun.

Ped Aggy football and Duke basketball programs have built an image of teams comprised of scrappy, tough, overachieving white kids and Carlton Banks type brothers.

Both coaches took forever to win a national championship.

Both coaches were/are notorious whiners about officiating and among the most extreme sideline workers in their respective sports.

Not that I thought all Ped State fans actually attended the school before...but I'm starting to believe that most of them don't even know where State College is or what it looks like.

But I will say this about CRY-zewski, he wouldn't cover for a pedophile. bobby knight would kick his ass for it if he did. Pedterno thought he was the greatest coach ever, I don't think CRY-zewski, no matter this overall faults, thinks that way.

I had a run in with K during the NCAA tourney that they lost to VCU. He was actually pretty likeable. My brother had 2 run ins with Paterno and he was the piece of shit you would expect. Fuck Dook and all that, but I'd dip myself in white body paint and paint a blue D on my chest if my only other option was to cheer for penn state anything. 2 completely different people off the court/field.

I had a chance to meet Pedterno when they dedicated the high school field in Waynesboro to Rip Engle. He met with all of the football players since we were in the middle of our summer conditioning program.

Instead of giving "sage advice" he talked about all of the stuff he'd accomplished and how his way was the way people succeeded.

Needless to say, wearing the Ohio State shirt I had on was worth the price of admission in nasty looks I received

The best part is they vilify a kid of 20 years of age of acting in his own interest when their former and now dead and in hell Head Coach acted in his own interest when he covered for a pedophile for 15+ years.
