Some accurate responses so far. I'll add my list...

1) Far and away #1 most arrogant fan base in the universe. Every fan base has their bias, some bigger than others and we're no exception, but they absolutely take the cake beyond anyone.

2) The media glorification (which is happening again btw). The Irish are a darling and always have been. Until the press actually caught on late in the game that ND wasn't so relevant anymore, they would always appoint them national champs heading into the season. Not to mention, god rest his soul, Beano Cook and his Heisman Trophy award! Let's not forget Mike Golic. Another big mouth.

3) They used to be a big time rival, nuff said.

4) I concur that they are not so squeaky clean whatsoever. While I guess no one really is these days they still get so much credit for it, it's gross. I lived it and have seen it first hand.

5) I dated a girl for a summer who went there (believe it or not she was actually cute). BUT she also had a big poster in her dorm room of Richie Anderson getting stopped by ND at the goal line in the early 90's. Let's just say we didn't make it very far.

Lastly, one of my biggest pet peeves are folks out there that say they are Penn State (or insert your college here) fans but also root for ND. "They're my second team!" ugh...that really gets me. You don't need a second team and certainly not the Irish!

After a slow start, Penn State wins eight of their last ten to finish 8-4. And to think so many of you were predicting a one-win season for the Nittany Lions....

The penalties haven't hit yet. Take a look at their recruits & sort by date of commitment.

Yeah, they're still riding the remnants of some decent recruiting classes. They're about to become two and three star heaven, and look where that's gotten Illinois.

Not to mention, I suspect Bart O'Blanchley is gonna draw some interest from the NFL. Once he leaps, good luck finding anybody worth a damn to step into that mess.

Still think they should have got the death penalty, though...

I don't see anyone being excited for Ped State winning 8 games....mind showing me an example? I think you are seriously misinterpreting what they are saying.

I don't think LJB is excited for ped aggy. My understanding is that he loathes them as much as the rest of us. He's just taking a jab at those of us who predicted they would have a 2 or 3 win season. Bragging about being correct about their season isn't being happy for them.
