Oh, it gets better than that. I see a number of people on their boards claiming Brady has "blossomed" under his tutelage.

Indeed.

Somebody mentioned the awesome Coaches By The Numbers site early in the thread. The evaluation of the two hires (Urban Meyer & some guy) are absolutely side splitting.

Under Urban Meyer's 'positives' they list:

  • Urban Meyer has won 81.89% of the games he has been a head coach
  • Urban Meyer has won 76.25% of the conference games he has been a head coach
  • Urban Meyer is 18-2 against rivals
  • Urban Meyer is 20-10 against Top 25 teams (time of game ranking)
  • Urban Meyer is 53-21 against teams finishing the season over .500
  • Urban Meyer has won four conference championships, two National Championships, and is 7-1 in Bowl Games
  • In the five years prior to Meyer taking his first head coaching job at Bowling Green, the Falcons had won 38.98% of their games. In Meyer?s two years at the helm, Bowling Green won 73.91% of their games
  • In the five years prior to Meyer taking over at Utah, the Utes had won 57.89% of their games. In Meyer's two years as head coach, Utah won 91.67% of their games
  • In the five years prior to Meyer taking over at Florida, the Gators had won 68.25% of their games. In Meyer's six years at UF, the Gators won 81.25% of their games and two National Championships
And the new guy in Happy Valley that we are secretly terrified of?

  • To the best of our knowledge, Bill O'Brien has never coached alongside Jerry Sandusky.
  • Prior to joining the Patriot's staff in 2007, O'Brien spent 14 years in the college ranks, four as an offensive coordinator (two at Georgia Tech and two at Duke).
  • Bill Belichick, George O'Leary, and Ralph Friedgen are not a bad trio of mentors to have.
Impressive resume that!

:slappy:

BTW if you look at his numbers under the 'negatives' column it looks like his offensive coordinator gigs managed to score fewer points than ...well just about anyone.

I still cant believe the McGloin is going to be the QB next year after he did nothing when he witnessed Sandusky's act

You must want somebody to post this, so here you go.

McGloin = Moxie, current QB

McQueary = PSU QB in late '90s, shower witness GA in '02

Excuse me, but wasn't Ped Aggy 2-8 against JT, including a couple of deep plunger rapes.

JT was 7-3 against the Pedsters. PSU has the late comeback win at Ped Stain in 2001 to get JoePunk his 324th win, the 17-10 win at Ped Stain in a monsoon (The Rail game), and a close win at The Shoe against true frosh QB TP in 2008. Their biggest MOV in those three wins was seven points. Conversely, JT had four 17+ point beatdowns (28-6 in 2006, 37-17 in 2007, 24-7 in 2009, and the subsequently-vacated 38-14 win in 2010).
