Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

I mean seriously, they've been (doing a piss-poor job at) pretending to care for like 10 whole months. What more do those damn tattle-tale brats want?

To me, this one single quote completely captures the entire depths of the depravity of the cultists.

If every one of them spend every moment of the rest of their sad, pathetic little lives showing concern for the victims of this tragedy, it won't come close to being enough.

And the problem is that the administration attempts to control everything.

It's amazing that they never could control Joe. No wonder they all hated him, because otherwise they appear to be able to control whomever/whatever they want.

That's right! The administration wants to be in control of the university....including the football team....rather than the other way around. What a bunch of fascists!

Whoever thought a dumpster fire could be this entertaining....?

Anyone who watches trash reality TV...BWI is just an online version of Jersey Shore. You watch because you're astounded that a group of people could be such a self centered unintelligible train wreck while lacking any self awareness

Yeah, but unlike most reality shows (still scripted), you just can't make this shit up.

They're still coming over to the facebook page to argue FACTS! EVIDENTS and TRUTH. They make posts applauding Franco, completely oblivious to the fact that he is utterly humiliating Penn State in the eyes of anyone not already in the cult. And now, they're attacking their own students for not being sufficiently faithful to the cult.

I'll bet Surma wishes it were a frickin' steel mill and he could just shut the motherfucker down and padlock the gates.

After a week doesn't the FB page represent an anti-Rally, look how idiotic the cult is, informational FB page? There has to be a certain point where ORD shouldn't be considered the troll. Aren't the PSU people now the trolls? I'm glad that they keep posting since it's more data points on the cult. It's even better then BWI since you can put names and faces to the members. :biggrin2:

The puppet-master gets immunity (Survivor.. hehe) from this discussion. :tongue2:

Tug is innocent and doesn't need immunity under Poe's Law. It's not his fault that the cult interpreted his parody to be sincere extremism. I'm sure in hindsight Tug wishes he had done more

Woody1968;2218438; said:

The core of Poe's law is that a parody of something extreme by nature becomes impossible to differentiate from sincere extremism. A corollary of Poe's law is the reverse phenomenon: sincere fundamentalist beliefs being mistaken for a parody of that belief.

"Our thought & Prayers for the Children"

what mistake did Joe Paterno make? I recall he followed HR policies, he informed not one but TWO of his superiors, he backed off to let them handle it (just as HR policy describes), and he followed up with MM to make sure he was OK with things.

Unless Onward state knows something else. If they do, I'd like to see it.

As far as I know, Joe DID NOTHING WRONG. He may not have done enough right, but he did NOTHING WRONG.
