Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

"We're not a cult like everyone says we are! Now, could someone kindly help me get my Joe Paterno cardboard cutout into my van. We have a board meeting to hijack. WE ARE!!!!!!!!!"

Pasted this in the Sandusky thread too...this may go thurmonuclear.

I thought I recognized that name.

In July, Buxfan4life posted a link to an article referencing Bucceroni's claims. Sounds like it may get some media traction after all...

From BF4Life's link:

Bucceroni told this reporter, ?In 1979 and 1980?when I was 13 and 14 years old?a well-connected pedophile named Edward Savitz took me on trips from Philadelphia to TSM fundraisers. I knew the minute I got there it was a breeding ground because of Savitz?s involvement. While [Jerry] Sandusky interacted with wealthy donors, the other men were sizing-up kids. I felt like a cheap whore because I was in these naked pictures that Savitz was passing around.?

When asked how certain he was in regard to these claims, Bucceroni replied, ?I?m sure of it. Savitz talked about taking kids from Philly to TSM and introducing them to men?soliciting them to ?his friends.? They exchanged and swapped kids like baseball cards. It was a feeding frenzy. I felt like a prostitute or a go-go dancer at a bachelor party. I felt dirty, used and cheap.?

The reason I think this could be nuclear is because we keep hearing from BOT defenders that there is more information that hasn't come out that adds more to the story...this is exactly the type of information that this could be. Also the timing of it, all the way back to the late 70's, adds further credence to the fact that 2001 is hardly the first time anyone noticed anything.

Are you insinuating there may be FACTS and EVIDENTS that the cult won't want to hear?

If there was indeed a wider ring of pedophilia, and there is ANY evidence that higher-ups at State Penn had any knowledge of it....well, napalm and salt. :shake:

Good fucking Lord. You know the saddest part of this whole thing to me is that Franco Harris, dunce that he has become, is like a complete exception to every rule. Here's what I mean. The football players were around Joe a lot, so one could see that it would be hard for them to acknowledge/admit/come to grips with all the things that are coming out. Yet most of the players have been victim-first and very measured in their responses. Yes, Millen stopped short of villifying Joe, but at least he left open the POSSIBILITY of him having known and not acted and/or not done enough. On the flip side, I would bet that 95%...or more...of the people on BWI and the people posting these billboards and the ones commenting on that Onward State story and whatever have interacted with Joe for a grand total of 60 seconds or less in their lifetimes. Yes they are the ones who will cling to the deck of the Titanic and claim it is the world's most unsinkable ship, all the way up until they drown. Why? It can't be Joe himself, they don't even know him and they have likely either never met him or have only done so in passing. It's got to be the fact that they can't admit they were duped, or that they sunk all of their hopes and dreams into a brand, into an IDEAL (not even the man) that turns out to be patently false. THEY couldn't be wrong, and no amount of FACTS or EVIDENTS or EGGZAMPLES will be able to change their mind one iota. All for a person they don't even know and have no way of knowing deserves or doesn't deserve their unwavering faith. How sad.
I get a kick out of the people who say shit like "Joe Paterno wouldn't do that!!!!". How the hell would you idiots know? None of you have ever met him.....and if you had, it was during some event where he was putting on a show for you.

It was meant to be Tug Speedman--Ben Stiller's characther in Tropic Thunder who goes full retard. I fucked up and got the name wrong when I registered.

And yet the fact that the tug Speedwell was attempting to rescue a bunch of people from the hands of a captain (Spanier) who handed over control to an incompetent subordinate (Curley or Paterno - take your pick) works just so fucking well.

I thought it was because he took the keys from the rally organizers and sunk their battleship - albeit deliberately. :p

They can't be reasoned with. The only thing Penn State can really do is start to change the culture with the current students while waiting for the cult to die off.

Sheeze. Could they start with teaching some basic English and spelling skills? I've seen better writing from middle school students. These people are supposed to be actual graduates of Ped State?
