I never thought it could happen, but I am ashamed to be a Penn Stater.

What led to this moment of self awareness? Was it a former coach molesting children on campus? Was it several university officials looking the other way when they found out about the molestation? Was it a good portion of the Penn State fanbase loudly proclaiming to the world "we are a deranged cult!!!"?
Well actually it was because there was no moment of silence for JoePa before the game on Saturday. But still, shame! That's progress, right?

Uh, they're not "donating"...it's tantamount to a fine, for their atrocious lack of control. PSU is giving the $60 mil out of the goodness of their heart, but rather to avoid a four-year death sentence for the football team.Of course, what happened to the victims was terrible, but I've given to RAINN, and Penn State reflected on them at the Nebraska game last year. They've received justice in that Sandusky is behind bars. Penn State has created two centers for child sexual abuse research and counseling and will donate $60M to these causes in the next five years. Meanwhile, Joe Paterno continues to be wronged. My thoughts are with Joe.
