The amazing thing about this in general is the complete cortical disconnect between being in a large shower area where there is a child present (i.e., a large communal shower with 50 nozzles, where you are on one side of the area and the child is completely down on the other) and showering WITH a child. JFC, I wanna just grab someone and shake the [censored] and say "What part of a grown naked man going tickle monster on a minor child while they are under the same shower head sounds normal to you, exactly?" It is denial in its most incredible form.

It is quite plausible that he would remember details of a specific conversation from a decade ago - but only if he thought at the time that the conversation had great significance. Not if it was something he was going to shrug off.

There is also a pretty big distinction to be made between showering with, but separate from, your own child in a locker room setting versus showering alone at night in physical contact with the child of someone else who has entrusted them to your care.

Ah, so he has been contemplating his rationalization for covering up child molestation for over a decade. That makes more sense as to why he would remember so many details after such a long period of time.

Funny that the main rationalization he arrived at- it being "not a big deal" at the time (which seems straight from the keyboards of the internet crazies) invalidates all of his supposed memories of his conversations and thoughts from that time.

As I mentioned, I don't remember the inconsequential conversations and thoughts I had two days ago, much less a decade ago.
