and then the rest of your measly team will choose to transfer.

Heard on Sports Radio yesterday that those who wish to transfer have until the first day of practice to make their decision. After that, they are not permitted. Can anyone verify or are the allowed to transfer without penalty after the season?

I thought that it was until "they have competed," which I would read as meaning seeing time in a game. I don't think there will be any mid season transfers, but if kids start punching the eject button halfway through Fall camp, that will utterly wreak havoc on their prep for the season.

How much you want to bet that Babs O'Bannion runs the entire frickin' roster onto the field against FredOU?

Hey now, Hamill's voice acting work is stellar- Penn State would be lucky to achieve that level of quality work and success.

Fair enough, but it ain't exactly Indiana Jones, is it?

Yea, I'm pretty sure that if someone decides to transfer after practicing, he would be ineligible to play for his new team until the 2013 season. After the season, he would still be allowed to transfer and be eligible for his new team in 2013 (ie he would not have to sit out a season).

Ah, yes. Their Destiny lies.... in a Mark Hamill-esque career trajectory.

Oh, so now we are comparing things to other things instead of judging them on their own merit. Next you'll want to tell me that Penn State hasn't dominated the Big Ten for the last two decades because they only have as many titles as Northwestern.

In the middle of writing that I thought of another response- tell me which one you like more.

Oh, so you're telling me that just because Indiana Jones made bank at the box office it is better than Batman: The Animated Series. Have you even watched the Batman: The Animated Series?

Batman: The Animated Series?

Hmm... seems somewhat familiar. Indeed I'm flashing back to it.

I posted the actual verbiage earlier in this thread ([MILILANI] Use the search function.[/MILILANI]

The rule is quite interesting. Provided all other transfer requirements are met, they can practice, sit on the sidelines during a game, and still transfer AND PLAY. If they play for PSU they can still transfer, but can not participate with the new team. As I read it, a kid could red shirt for PSU, transfer and play for another team in their bowl game (if they are otherwise eligible).

And don't forget, the free transfer rule goes until 2013. So kids can audition O'Brien and still bolt.
