He did leave behind plenty of rope, though. Somebody should get some to Sandusky, Spanier, Curley, etc...

I have a confession. I did something bad. I created a fake BWI account known as The Flying Wasp and over a VPN I tried to pose as a rational PSU fan (knowing it would end badly). I started this experiment over a week ago and all my posts were polite and well thought out.

Simply put, I responded to a few posts saying I couldn't pretend that everyone was culpable from the Janitor to the Governor, except JoePa. I gave several reasons. When I encountered a post that from Mt.Nittany that this was not a football problem, I posted a *lot* of reasons why it was.

My angle was PSU needed the Freeh report to preempt the Charles Robinsons' of the world so they wouldn't bring these stories forward over the next several years as to draw out the misery of Penn state with a death of a 1,000 large paper cuts. (which I do believe).

The vitriol I encountered was amazing, especially from Tom McAndrew - who replied with several long posts that made virtually no actual sense. I had Sg. Carter post to my fan page cussing me out. I added him as a buddy. Most my posts, while completely well reasoned always had a few guys screaming maniacally. Btw most of my posts were before we knew about sanctions coming.

It's amazing that place is a cult because the board moderator will ban anyone who doesn't think just like him. I know of a couple sane long time PSU posters who were banned recently for the same reason.

Penn State fans are lunatics, but BWI encourages everyone to be insane, they really promote the cult behavior. I know most people know this, but it was awesome to mess with them and see what happens to a rational "fan".

In summary: Fuck Penn State.

Yeah, for a brief moment, after the Freeh report emerged, it appeared some reality was setting in. It looked like more of them than initially thought might actually be human. But, somewhere shortly after that, it was like they started binging on ether. I've never seen a fanbase go so far into the depths of mental illness. Those mutants are fucking CRAZY. If anybody doubted the place was like a cult, they have none now.

Cults, man. :shake:

How these idiots haven't postponed new sign ups since this scandal broke open in November is beyond me.

Inbreeding. Cults. Subhuman mutants. Man.

Don't feel bad for the Pedsters. If they get booted out of B1G, they will go the ACC or SEC. Don't feel sad for them. (Seriously, they mention the SEC.) Texas A&M is enough man-on-man love for one conference. Do they really need another one? (Where's ORD when I need him and an aggy reference?)

So, how about this for unprecedented.... ban the whole athletic department from postseason play for a period of time. That will teach the PSU lunatic fringe to proclaim that this isn't a football issue.

Other than their women's volleyball team, the rest of the Ped State AD is an athletic wasteland.

Our good friend Matt Hayes takes the opportunity to tie in the Ohio State scandal to child rape. All in good fun I'm sure.

And he's not the only one. Drew Sharp of the DFP offering his take on PSU. He's moving right along talking PSU and that no real penalty will be handed down.

But there will be no action. No death penalty. No Roger Goodell disciplinarian replica. No conference banishment. No cutting Penn State from the lucrative Big Ten Network trough. In the end, they'll be treated no different than a school that looked the other way when boosters bought players and academic "advisers" changed test grades.

Penn State will lose scholarships and bowl opportunities because of its lack of institutional control. But that's it.

And then...

The Big Ten is understandably panicked. The moral high ground it long assumed is crumbling underneath its feet. Its two most high-profile head football coaches -- Ohio State's Jim Tressel and Paterno -- lost their jobs within months of each other last year because they lied about what they knew regarding football-related scandals.

They lied because it was more important to protect a now-fraudulent ideal of institutional righteousness as well as an annual revenue stream of tens of millions of dollars that has effectively made the football coach far more powerful than the university president.

I guess if you want readers in michigan...you need to bad mouth tOSU.
