Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Is it possible the the NCAA will cripple PSU to such an extent that they will become a drain on the BIG, and aren't even economically viable as a member institution? I ask this not as a sole reason, but possibly in addition to whatever the BIG presidents already might have on their plates. Or at the very least can the BIG make sure that PSU will not receive any shares of bowl money earned by other schools, if not completely remove them from the BTN revenue stream?
It isn't all athletics. The bigger issue might be what affect this scandel has on the academic side...

After all, if JoePed wasn't above shipping less than stellar students to branch campuses, it is absolutely well within the realm of possibility that he pressured people into changing grades and/or ensuring grades that aren't earned were given.

ANYTHING is possible on the academic side.

wasn't there testimony regarding him exerting influence over who would receive an academic chair? I could have sworn I remember ORD going off on that early in the show.

If that's the case then you can pretty much write off anything they have done academically in regards to football. If the football coach is determining who gets what chair on the academic side then he's certainly got enough influence to keep grades in line with the "grand experiment" PR facade.

Got one of his former coaches a job for which he was not qualified.

I bet most of the Penn Stater's are forgetting that the violations are just the tip of the iceberg. They still have to worry about the DOE for the clery act violations. From the Chi Tribune:

It's funny how their saint will be the death of their university.

What's the link on this? TIA

Steven Bench, emerging as a leader in these rough times
If they want to punish us for something none of us did, so be it. Just know you're waking a beast. A giant family across the world

WE will wake up every morning with a chip on our shoulder and WE will out-work everyone on this earth.

WE will grind through these hard times. WE will succeed, not to prove everyone else wrong, but to prove that WE are right.

WE will be beyond successful for the sole reason that WE ARE PENN STATE!!

I think Rich Rod took the shoulder chips with him to Arizona when he left tsun so you may be sol here kid.

The moxie has been used up too.

I wonder how many wins can be achieved through naivete and bitterness?

I for one am looking forward to the Buckeyes dropping 90+ on these clowns like Houston did to SMU. Since it's Penn State though, all of those 90+ points are going to come from pick-sixes.

He did leave behind plenty of rope, though. Somebody should get some to Sandusky, Spanier, Curley, etc...
