Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

One other thing I find remarkable about the PSU fan base - not just posters, but all the way through some of the BOT.

When Sandusky was first charged they were convinced that the truth would set them free. That when the facts came out it would get better. It got worse.

When Paterno was fired they were convinced that when people knew the truth it would get better. It got worse.

When Freeh started his investigation they were convinced that when his report came out it would get better. It got worse.

No they are absolutely convinced that when the criminal trials are finished it will get better. Facts will come out that vindicate JoPa and all things blue and white.

I have a different prediction.

How can they be so obtuse. It isn't about criminal behavior. It is about ethical conduct.

At this point, it doesn't matter if it was a jaywalking charge that lead to the investigation. The issue here is the fact that JoePa RAN the entire university - hell the entire community revolved around him. The football program was unmonitored for years. THAT is what the NCAA is taking an issue with.

Do they know Penn State probably worked with the NCAA on the sanctions that are coming out?

At the very least, the Freeh report was conducted on behalf of the BoT. They chose to publically release the results of the findings. That is not comparable to say the Dohrman article about us where some independent news hack just threw every allegation in the book out. Freeh's findings can basically be treated as Penn State endorsed findings, thus the NCAA using it to determine guilt.

Right. Which makes bitching about possible sanctions and protesting them pretty pointless when your school is working with and suggesting said sanctions.

If the current Penn State admin acted like their cult fans they would be kicked clear out of the NCAA.
