Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

The thread is pretty boring, but I got a good quote for why I really dislike that fanbase. I think a lot of them feel this way. People who went to Penn State are better than people didn't - even Penn State's fans.

"I look down on you lowly peasants who didn't go to Penn State. Feel free to kiss my boots when I walk by."

Edit - I had a boss like this. He's a Penn State grad. I like him, but he's got this same mindset. And another co-worker (now retired) - same thing. Penn State grad, Penn State fan. Any time they'd see me in an Ohio State shirt (which was often), "But you didn't go to Ohio State?" "Nope. I grew up in Columbus, though, and went to probably 40 games before I graduated high school. I never missed a football game, except for the rare times that it wasn't on TV." "Where'd you go to college?" Of course, now even a dummy like me can see the point in all this. "Case Western Reserve, and I'll tell you what: If they ever play Ohio State in football, I'll go buy a CWRU shirt and wear it for the game." That would usually end the conversation.

If you went to school or from the state, then you can be a true fan in my opinion. Now if you live in California and just suddenly became a Georgia fan, then I have questions.

I would typically agree, but, really, I don't care who you root for. But if you were a Miami fan 22 years ago, then a USC fan 18 years ago, then an Alabama fan 10 years ago, and now you're a Georgia fan, I'm not going to take you too seriously.
But if you've always been a Georgia fan, meh, I hope you enjoy your team's success.

What about going from Auburn (family alum) to Florida to Bama and now Georgia (said person is an undergrad there now)?

This person cried when Zeke ran through the South.

In my four year living-in-California experiment I discovered their disdain for the Midwest and especially Ohio State. This despite the fact that 65% of all white California residents are from the Midwest along with 27% from Asia.

If you really want to break their brains....try living here but not liking local teams.

They also somehow have a problem differentiating "Ohio" and "Ohio State"....despite the fact that they also have State in their name.
They also have a problem differentiating between sodomy and "horseplay."

I guess one of them found a game where *ichigan was whining about crowd noise in Iowa, so the refs gave them a "discretionary timeout". Then they whine about how Penn State was penalized for crowd noise, as if it never happened to anyone else. Look, it was a stupid rule but it was a rule - the offense had to be able to hear the QB call the plays. And, no, the rule wasn't changed because we all realized that Penn State was angry about it. We all thought it was lame, so they changed it.

Didn't OSU catch one of those crowd noise penalties back in the day?

It was routine for those dicksuckers to make a noise complaint when The Game was in the Shoe in the 80s when this shitty rule was in effect. I do not recall Ohio State ever pulling the same bullshit in the whore. If they did, well, fuck em anyway.
