Thread starts with people saying that *ichigan should get all the punishments that Penn State got, except *ichigan is actually guilty. It devolves into "Joe was railroaded" and all the expected stuff. One guy I don't recognize is saying, "Yeah, Penn State really did cover this up."

That thread is now over 12 pages long, and that's because each page only has a certain number of posts, and each post counts as 1, regardless of length. Some of those posts need a table of contents, they're so long.
That sick cult really expects people to have done an entire independent research that comes to the conclusion that Sandusky didn't do anything wrong, or else you don't have any credibility on the subject.
So I haven't actually done any experiments to test what the shape of the earth is. Does that mean I can't mean I shouldn't have an opinion? I mean... I can't just blindly believe the science, can I?
A couple of guys in that thread are really trying to open the cult's eyes. I'm sure it's a losing battle, though. They'll be banned soon.

Just to point out a couple more of your most recent lies, Paterno wasn't robbed of titles in 69 and 73. In 69 PSU made a decision to play in the Orange thus avoiding a matchup with #1 Texas, so if he was robbed he did it to himself. Stupid decision. In 73 there was no way #3 ND was not going to get the title after beating #1 Bama. The only people that think he was robbed there are the Joebots. Joe sure as hell wasn't going to beat the Bear, it was something he never did.

An opinion cannot be a lie. Paterno had the best teams those years (my opinion). He deserved at least a share of the NC in all of those years. You can feel free to have a different opinion, but saying things like "There as no way #3 ND wasn't going to get the title after beating #1 Bama" just shows the flaws in the poll system, NOT that Notre Lame was better than PSU or more deserving of the the NC.

Please do elaborate on why Paterno deserved a title in 69 after choosing to avoid playing the #1 team. I would be interested to see how you spin that one.

When they opted for the Orange Bowl over the Cotton Bowl, the season wasn't completed. In other words, they had no idea that they'd play #1 Texas or even who would be #1 at that point.

The deserved at least a share of title because they were undefeated and the best team.

You also stated that Paterno was "robbed" of a title in 69. The only way that statement is true is if you are considering that he "robbed" himself of that title. Basically he made the wrong decision, no one outside of PSU made it.

You are clueless. First, when the decision to accept the Orange Bowl invitation was made, it was before the end of the season. PSU had no idea what they would have been ranked and had no idea where the #1 team would be playing. Second, the players voted to accept the Orange Bowl invite; this was not a unilateral decision by the players. PSU was "robbed" in that there was no way you could look at that undefeated team and not think that the weren't deserving of at least a split title. The primary reason the split was not made was Nixon declaring Texas the national champion before the bowls were even played.

Ah, the old "Nixon robbed us" whine. Some of you guys are the biggest crybabies I've ever seen. "Not fair!", "Refs screwed us", "BIG screwed us", "OAG...", "BOT...", whatever is handy. It's like "WE ARE never responsible for any of our own failures". Damn, grow up and take some responsibility and accountability.

Texas beat the number 3 team in the country and PSU would have had their fannies waxed had they played. Joe was "robbed" of nothing.

Then it goes back to whining about how Penn State was railroaded, etc.
