Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

ESPN college football analyst Greg McElroy respects Penn State as one of the nation's top teams this season, but not when the Nittany Lions are compared to the behemoth that is the SEC West, a division featuring five programs in this week's AP Top 25 poll. Penn State beat Auburn, 28-20, this past Saturday night at home to move up to No. 6 in the latest Week 4 rankings and carry the torch for the Big Ten against the SEC. McElroy was not entirely impressed.

“I thought it was a pretty good performance (for Auburn), and it’s one that you can probably build on,” McElroy said Monday on The Paul Finebaum Show. “Not that they’re going to do a whole lot in the SEC West this year. I still think that if Penn State played in the SEC West, they’d finish probably fourth.

Ok, I'll play along. So let's give him Bama and even A&M, even though they are perennially overrated.

That's PSU coming in 3rd.

Who else is going to beat them this year?
LSU?, Auburn? One of the 'ssippi schools? Arkansas?

It's really hard to describe how good the rest of the SEC thinks they are because of how good Bama actually is.

Remember, Ohio State wouldn't win a game if they were in the SEC SEC SEC.

Most of them have been UK, Bama, Auburn, or Tennessee fans, right?

Most recent was an LSU mouthbreather out in Glendale for the 2019 Clemson game.

OSU would just be a middle of the road SEC program. Couldn't consistently beat the Mississippi schools etc etc etc. It's remarkable but not an isolated opinion.

Fuck that and fuck McElroy. A&M struggled to beat Colorado 10-7. Minny beat them 30-0. Maybe A&M only finishes 4th in the B1G West

I would not bet against Franklin blowing one of those games by sheer stupidity.
