Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

To be fair, that record is very similar to our last 26 games against our actual rival.

But screw this team. We don’t like you because we are decent human beings, not because we consider you in any way, shape or form a peer worthy of the word rival.

Eh, if we just go by win/loss... Purdue is our rival.
The fact that we have the record we do against scUM this century...and still hold that game sacred... is proof that it is The rivalry.

Remember this. Ped States "Success" in the B10 is why ND will never join the B10. Suddenly they have to play a well coached real team week in and week out. While OSU has pulled away the rest of the B10 is still a tough out. I do not believe for one second that ND wins the B10 East but maybe 1 out of 5 years and they may never win it.
The Pedsters fans rival only SCum fans in their unbelievable arrogance and revisionist history. I am hoping OSU keeps them in place forever.

1 out of 5 years for B1G-E? Really? ND is on par with tsun. I would, no joking, expect similar success for them in the B1G-E.

Yeah, but they could probably win the B1G West every year. All they have to be is better than Cheese.....

Some gems from BWI

If Penn St want's to be in the class of Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State, then they must recruit like them. You recruit the athletic , not the student. You know they are going to leave before they get their degree, but you are not concerned about their education. You are concerned about how they are going to perform on the field and prepare them for Pro Football. Please don't give me this "but we do it the right way", The days of Joe Pa are gone, as are the days of College Football. College Football is a farm system for the Pro's.
a bunch of expected "success with honor" dumbshittery follows.

On to the game thread: https://bwi.forums.rivals.com/threads/official-psu-tosu-2020-game-thread.280834/
Watching the whiteout videos makes me sad.

With all due respect to the players that decided to stay in 2012, it's the 107,000 loyal fans that saved (and make) PSU football.
Lamont Wade is horrible
I actually like this one
Why the **** did he fair catch that. Jesus
This fucking genius is complaining about calling for a fair catch on a kick return....because it's 2020 and he still doesn't know that gets you the ball at the 25.
I’d steer clear as an NFL team. I think he’s a system guy with a lot more talent than opponents 11 times a season. That won’t fly in The League.
talking about Fields
Time to take a cheap shot at Fields. Take his head off
That dude has called for Fields to be hurt multiple times.
Alabama will put up 50 on this Ohio State secondary.
Same dude who wants Fields hurt. He's all over this thread with some real pieces of brilliance.
Question for you all. If there’s 110,000 plus in the stands what’s the score? I don’t think OSU scores 38 points.

Something else I noticed while reading that cesspool of a board. They're all in love with Joey Porter Jr. That kid got torched all night long. All he ever did was talk shit after Olave would catch pass after pass and get out of bounds. What are they excited about? His non-stop running mouth?

STOCK UP/DOWN: OHIO STATE'S RECEIVER DUO, QUARTERBACK SNEAKS WORKING, TWO-HEADED RUNNING BACK ROTATION

STOCK DOWN

PENN STATE

Imagine being a Nittany Lions fan right now.

Your best player (Micah Parsons) opted out before the season. You recently learned your best offensive player (Journey Brown) might be lost for the season with an undisclosed injury. You just lost in overtime to Indiana on a heartbreaker to start out the season on the worst note possible. You’re staring down a primetime, under-the-lights Week 2 matchup on ABC with Ohio State – otherwise known as Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State, Ohio State! – that threatens to have your team opening the year with two losses for the first time since 2012.

Oh, and you can’t even really point to the future with an abundance of optimism considering Penn State’s 2021 recruiting class is ranked in the bottom half of the Big Ten and features exactly zero of Pennsylvania’s top-10 prospects.

Tough times in Happy Valley right now. On Saturday, if things go the Buckeyes’ way, it could get even worse.

etc

The stuff where they freely admit that their environment makes a big difference and yet seem oblivious to the tacit admission that this lob-sided series is even more lob-sided than it appears... that stuff is nice, as always

But

This guy unironically says that it's not only all about the fans; he says the fans MAKE ped state. This is more self-important douchbagguery than I thought was even possible outside of a parody... even for them.

We invite our delusional Penn State fans to review the objective academic performance evidence concerning Ohio State football and athletics more widely.

Current APR rankings:

Ohio State 987 (tied 12th nationally, 2nd in B1G)
Penn State 979 (tied 33rd nationally, tied 5th B1G)

They also may like to compare the degrees for which these athletes study. One will find very few kinesiology degrees being awarded. I include the most recent grads but searching 2019 Ohio State football graduates will reveal many others and a preponderance of football players completing physical science, behavioral science, and business degrees. I didn't realize that Mike Doss got his Masters last year. Well done on that!

Most recent Ohio State graduates

OL Nathan Brock (Powell, Ohio) – Communications

QB Chris Chugunov (Skillman, N.J.) – *Kinesiology

TE Brock Davin (Cincinnati) – Finance

DL Noah Donald (Uniontown, Ohio) – Industrial and systems engineering

SAF Owen Fankhauser (Stow, Ohio) – Human development and family science

TE Jake Hausmann (Cincinnati) – Communications

K Zach Hoover (Toledo) – Sport industry

LB Hayden Jester (Cincinnati, Ohio) – Operations management

TE Derrick Malone (Dayton) – Human development and family science

RB Amari McMahon (Dublin) – Biology

OL Brandon Pahl (Cutler, Ohio) – History

CB Marcus Williamson (Westerville, Ohio) – History

Thirteen graduate students are on Ohio State’s current roster:

LB Tuf Borland – Human development and family science

OL Nathan Brock – Communications

P Drue Chrisman – Family resource management

DE Jonathan Cooper – Family resource management

OG Gavin Cupp – Human development and family science

TE Jake Hausmann – Communications

LB Justin Hilliard – Marketing

QB Gunnar Hoak – Agricultural economics (University of Kentucky graduate)

K Zach Hoover – Sport industry

DT Antwuan Jackson – Human development and family science

TE Corey Rau – Sport management (SMU graduate)

WR C.J. Saunders – Accounting

CB Marcus Williamson – History

They are because he was (his cheating self)...and that is exactly their problem.
