Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

@ORD_Buckeye's favorite poster - Marylovesthelions - even makes an appearance....

Even a thread where something as simple as condemning racism devolves into a WWJD (What Would Joe Do?) shitfest in 5 posts -- and racism is OK if you're old.

He sounds like an "I can't be racist because I have colored friends!" type of guy

Naw dude, this guy is more "I can't be racist because I saw some colored folk on my stay at Fort Benning before being shipped to Korea in '62, and I let them drink from the white peoples' fountain."

Old white man racism aside, I just can’t get over old man thinking he should write a letter to a kid he doesn’t know.

Why wouldn’t you know enough to write the university or the athletic dept if you wanted some dress policy enforced? That is some crazy entitlement to think the player owes you anything.

Yep. Reminds me of Cardale's epic take down of that fool who tweeted at him.

I wonder if he believed that since it was an old school letter that it would not be possible to become viral. If he Tweeted/@ him, he thought this may backfire so he chose to jam out a letter on shitty stationary. No way that shit can blow up in his face unless the kid has one of those new-fangled mobile phones with a camera. I bet this guy asks his grandkids if they are "the Facebooks".

I doubt it. I think the guy is old-school and doesn't have Twitter. He might have email. If he has a smart phone, my money is that he doesn't know how to do anything but make calls and respond to text messages. And he isn't happy when he has to respond to a text message. He doesn't even think about social media let alone whether the consequences of his actions will end up "viral".

The guy sends fan mail with his unsolicited opinions into radio stations and TV stations all the time (once every couple of weeks, at least) and he felt that this was no different.
