Oh but Emmert could.. and THAT is the difference. POS's like emmert and his ilk knew how it worked in the modern world.. Joe had no idea... what happened as slick MQ 'splained it... was a world Joe had no idea even existed.

Just as Joe never really understood that his super strong 260 pounders were not the be-all end-all... they were overmatched by 300 pounders who could do the same things and more athletically. He was man lost in time.. and this case was a classic example... he was out of his element. [Years later he finally came to understand and the tide turned... a tribute to Joe all the more that he could SEE it when most would be forever lost]

So which is it? Is JoePed the old man who had no idea how the modern world worked or is he the singular human who could SEE things when others would be forever lost?

@ORD_Buckeye, thanks for posting that. I like the part best where JoePa single-handedly whips the Nazis, after turning water into wine, multiplying loaves and fishes, and sending Genghis Khan and his Mongol hoards packing.

There was a time I respected that team and him. If they had followed his lead and wished they'd done more, they wouldn't be reviled. I love how they stand up to assert their willingness to fight all and sundry to the death for Joesus. Its not even laughable anymore.

The Cult has been frothing at the mouth for months about Sparty and UNC and Syracuse. BWI now seems to be all about Sparty and bitching that the media/NCAA has not been nearly as brutal toward Sparty as they were toward Joesus/PSU. There are currently eight threads on the first page of BWI discussing Sparty. When I looked at BWI a few days ago, there was a thread on the front page asking if Sparty has any public forums so Penn Staters could go over to that forum and act the same way the rest of the Big 10 did when a scandal completely unrelated to football happened at PSU.

Near as I can tell, however, no MSU alumni or fans rioted in the streets or turned over news vans because the media had the nerve to actually report the story. I also have not seen Sparty alumni calling for a boycott of every news organization reporting the story,

Well, that right there is the problem. You should have chosen better idols to worship. While you were taken in and conned by flawed human beings, Joesus just went right on practicing Success With Honor.

I guess this should have been called the Sandusky-Nassar Trophy... my bad.

The Peterno-Hollis Award will have to go to some oblivious fool elsewhere in the B1G.

You forget that it was actually the media who started the riot, and urged the "peaceful crowd" to tip over the media van.

The annual fight for the "Sodomy vs. Rape Trophy" I can just see the electricity in the stadium as the Ped State fans chant MAN.BOY.LOVE!, and the Sparty crowd answers back with WHEN IN DOUBT WHIP IT OUT!
