I would take a week off work just to observe BWI. I lack the words to adequately describe the magnitude of the meltdown, how long it would stick with them and how much fun I would have watching it happen.

Umm, my post was about giving them hope now and then having MSU crush them before they make the Big Ten Championship, so that's a bad example for your point. I don't think anyone here is actually "rooting" for them, but that doesn't mean we can't discuss what might happen if we get in despite not having a Big Ten Championship.

I don't think you'll find many (if any) of us pulling for PSU over the next few weeks.

I'm going to be rooting against Penn State, too. Though I find it hard to believe that Penn State or Wisconsin would jump Ohio State. I don't think Oklahoma or West Virginia or Louisville would, either. But that's just me guessing. I'd rather not rely on my guess. I guessed Ohio State wouldn't jump TCU and Baylor in 2014, after our quarterback got hurt, even if the backup DID just torch Wisconsin. If we can win the CCG, it takes my lousy guess out.

I'll be rooting for Rutgers this week, and Michigan State next week. And if neither of those work, I'll root for Wisconsin the following week.

However, I would LOVE to see Penn State get left out of the playoffs if they win the Big Ten. Ha - it would be 1994 and 2005 all over again if Ohio State wins the national championship. "Shizhole Big Ten kept us out of the playoffs. We would have won them!" (Yes, Penn State fans think they would have beat USC or Texas in 2005. And 1994... I think that's been discussed enough.) I'd also like to see them get trounced by 'Bama 63-14. Or, best yet, get a chance at a rematch with them, and this time win 63-14 despite the non-Shizhole referees.

Not trusting the committee is a far cry from your earlier guarantee.

No one knows what the committee will do after Championship Saturday. There are plenty of reasons for Buckeye fans to be optimistic however, including SOS, current rank, ability to put butts in seats and fans behind TV screens on New Years Eve, etc.

Ohio State WAS tcu last year, and they were rewarded accordingly when they choked in their one statement game.

I think everyone here wants them to lose, too. Personally I'd love nothing more than for the Bucks to crush MSU and then have Sparty pull some voodoo and hang 70 on them the following week.

Bama and LSU were #1 and #2 in both major polls and two of the only four power conference teams with less than 2 losses. The committee would absolutely NOT have passed on either of them in favor of a 2 loss conference championship.

So thanks for disproving your original argument.
