They came from the middle of nowhere northern PA.I don't know - but if many of them come to PSU from NJ, NY, Philly area - as may did to OSU in the sixties - then anyplace west of the Schuylkill River and east of Chicago is a "cow town." They used to sit in the North 'berg and bitch, "this town is sooo fuckin' provincial." At least they paid out of state tuition, but I got really tired of listening to it.
The idea of putting a college out in a pasture is as old as the idea of putting one inside a principal city and both have their merits... not that Penn State's BWI crowd are representative of those merits. More like demerits...
Cult's still not aware of Saturday Night Live's joke this past weekend. If somebody has a live troll in play and would like to inform them of it, I'd be grateful.
1. I make the drive from Cincinnati to DC at least twice a year and Pennsylvania is the best part of the trip IMO. Beautiful scenery. To each his own.

This started in our thread about Nebraska and how they "want to rejoin the Big 12". That's why I linked that. BWI's thread on it was pretty funny. Here's a link to Page 2:

BWI fans want to see Nebraska leave so it Penn State can follow them out. Why? Well, they hate the Big Ten, of course. One reason:
Yeah... I remember in 1986 (or 1988) Ohio State got in trouble for excessive crowd noise against Michigan. Maybe it was just a warning. Why don't they call that anymore?
Oh... maybe this answers that:

Hm. I really didn't know that.
Edit - oops. I just noticed that was FCS rules. I wonder if FBS rules were also changed.
Actually I lied. Used to go to DC or Indiantown Gap for the Army and took the Turnpike to Harrisburg. Still do that route if going to McGuire AFB or NYC. Now I usually take 32 down to Parkersburg, then WVA 50 to Clarksburg, then I 68 and 70 into DC. The scenery is much the same whether in Western Maryland or Western PA.How much Pennsylvania could you possibly go through coming from Cincinnati? From Columbus, we just hit the southwestern corner of Pennsylvania and head down to Morgantown and 68.

I remembered the same. Fucking Harbaugh was the QB.
Ohio St. Falls To Michigan
November 23, 1986|By Don Pierson, Chicago Tribune.
Once, officials charged Ohio State with a timeout because of crowd noise.

So was my dad. Hence me making sure he gets a chance to welcome that crybaby back to the 'Shoe in person one more time.Correction
Harbaugh was the whiny baby who begged and begged and begged until he got that bull[Mark May] call
It wasn't that loud
I was there
Dammit
I used to take the GW into DC for work. Very scenic looking at the person's bumper in front of you for 2 hours.I like the drive through Maryland and on George Washington heading in to DC. Very scenic.
