Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Sooo, twenty-four hours later, how's the decision working out for you, Penn State?

https://news.google.com/news/story?...ved=0ahUKEwiyyOSJ4vHOAhUEOiYKHYGDCVUQqgIIKzAA

According to the morning show guys on the station-that-shall-not-be-named, the school is refusing to comment or respond to anyone. Kinda reminds me of the end of Spotlight, when the Globe asks Cardinal Law for a comment on the article they're about to run on the systemic abuse, and his office tells them "We don't even want to know what the questions are."

But, they're not a cult, and there is no pervasive culture problem at Penn State.

As Gordon Ramsay is wont to say, fuck me.

This actually gives me a glimmer of hope for the world. God Bless the youth of PedState.

BTW, THAT is the game we should be chipping in to hire a fly-over JOE KNEW banner.

The Joebots are out in force in the comments section of the Daily Collegian article and on BWI. Water is wet and the Joebots are tearing into the girl who wrote that editorial. Here are a few fine posts from the Joebots in the comment section:

"Yes, please give this vile, nasty, std infested, BOT cock sucking, scum hoarding, trecherous, traitorous piece of trash a piece of reality."

"The level of non-sequitur jibberish (and pure stupidity) that was packed into just one column is quite impressive. Congratulations!"

"There are a hell of lot more alumni then students!"

"What a shallow article. Paterno should be honored NOW because he was treated so badly by the university in 2011. If Penn State had done the right thing THEN, we wouldn't need to do it NOW. And if you're a current student and think the school is all about you and the present and don't want to be bothered with our history, you chose the wrong school. Its not about you, its about values and principles that maybe you need to learn more of."

"Yes, it is time to live in the present. But as a journalist, you should know your history as a Penn Stater. Joe Paterno was all about success with honor, student athletes, and a clean program. It wasn't just about football (take a look at the name on your library). It is important for Penn State to correct the narrative, to honor a man who did so much for the university. Acknowledging Joe is long overdue. The administration realizes that, and you should too. Respect those that came before you, read up on the facts, try to ignore the crap that is again in the media. Be Penn State proud."

:shake: I was wrong.

There is no fucking hope for the world. :sad2:

As for the young woman who wrote the article, she'd do well to transfer out of state. As vindictive as these lunatics are, you know they'll be posting her picture and home address on BWI any day now. In one of the threads there that I saw, they had the photo of the kid who started the t-shirt sale. I swear, sooner or later, these maniacs are going to actually get someone physically attacked, if not killed.

But they're not a cult. And they don't have a culture problem.
Nuke the goddamn place.

I am trying Ringo, trying real hard not to be a goddamn grammar Nazi but fuck me sideways if these mongoloids don't go so far off the deep end to make me do it.

traitorous piece of trash a piece of reality."

One major rule of a good rant is that you don't use the same word twice. You just don't.

....and you don't give someone a "piece" of reality moron. I think the word you were stammering for is "dose".

"The level of non-sequitur jibberish

I know he doesn't really know what that means so I won't tell him that every defense of Joesus they have been cranking out the past 5 years or so has been the text book definition of a non-sequitur

If A is true, then B is true.
B is true.
Therefore, A is true.

We should have a contest to see how many of their arguments fit that pattern (it would be a lot)

"There are a hell of lot more alumni then students!"

than

as in "you are dumber than a box of hammers"

you see child rape, you stop it and then you call the cops

see the difference?

jesus

Its not about you, its about values and principles that maybe you need to learn more of."

There may be hope for her to still learn values and principles.

Command of the English language and the subsequent ability to form complete sentences waived bye bye to you a long time ago.

Well, her picture is already out there. The first comment on the Daily Collegian article asked for an alternative e-mail for the writer other than her school address. She replied to the comment and her name links to her personal Facebook account. I can't see that ending well for her.

I especially like this spin on the definition as it applies to the mutant community:

argument by scenario, where an irrelevant scenario is given in an attempt to support the conclusion.

How much tap-dancing have they done around Joe's guilt or the truth of the allegations by using this gambit?
