I saw a thread on BWI a few weeks ago where the discussion was the best coaches in CFB. You see the usual comments like "It's Saban and Meyer, and then everybody else." The interesting (and disgusting) thing was the surprising number of cultists who said they wouldn't want Urban Meyer because of cheating, paying players, recruiting thugs, cutting players, not graduating players, etc. - because that wouldn't fit into their culture of "winning with honor". Vomit.

What is the record of Urban's thugs lately, say the last 2-3 years? The only thing I can come up with from memory is: Marcus Baugh did some underage drinking a few years ago (a rare and particularly heinous activity as we know), Carlos Hyde slapped at a woman in a club who slapped him, Brad Roby got in a bar fight (another thing you never hear of), Sprinkle had his Grown and Sexy "riot", Bosa, et.al. were disciplined for academics, pot, or some combination (that never happens anywhere but OSU), JT got a DUI (serious, but doesn't qualify as thuggary), and A Washington tried to buy some sex (also unheard of among men). What am I missing? Where are all of the assaults on women, drug dealing, stabbings, shootings, etc. that come with having thugs around.
The gulf between the narrative these morons believe about Urban and the actual reality of his record on this subject at Ohio State is pretty wide. Football players are not boy scouts. You have some tough, edgy guys from difficult backgrounds on the team. The fact that Urban has kept them in line to this degree is pretty remarkable. It tells me that he is making the expectations clear, and has instilled fear of failing to meet those expectations.

I believe a couple players (can't remember who) were busted for peeing in public at a golf course.
Edit: Stoneburner and Mewhort were arrested in a parking lot used for the Memorial after running from police who suspected them for urinating in between buildings.

It was in the summer of 2012. Urban was officially coach at the time (hired in November of 2011) although he had yet to coach his first game.

and some of that criminal trespass shit was of the break into a dorm room and beat the fuck out of a guy variety. They also had a let's shoot up a room with crossbows incident as well as a machete wielding maniac in the cafeteria.
