Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

For the past five years, all the Cult has screamed is that they just want the truth, even if it somehow makes Joesus looks bad. Now, this bombshell comes out and, of course, it is not "The Truth." BWI is in complete meltdown, even for them. The amount of denial and delusion over there is off the charts. Those mongoloids over there are claiming this latest revelation is just more made up [Mark May] by the Board of Trustees to smear poor Joesus and that the story was leaked because the alumni association wants the BoT to officially honor Joesus on the 50th anniversary of Joesus become head coach.

It is amazing how many things the excellent Irondoc poster was spot on about before he was driven off the Audubles board by crazy Joebots. When the Cult was crying about the brutal, unfair, Draconian punishment handed out to PSU in 2012, Irondoc asked repeatedly if the Cult really wanted to gamble with having the two national championships stripped if the NCAA and Freeh started digging into the 1970s and 80s.
It's the freaking definition of a cult.

Why in the fuck would any one of those BoT members want to make that up? Who benefits from the school not covering up child rape for 20 years, but for almost 40 years! That'll show somebody. Muahahahahaaa!

I'm sure the smear Joesus campaign is totally worth the hit that the school's already diminished reputation is going to take. Why would those BoT members want to be BoT members of a school that covered up child rape for 40 years? They must be a real hit at parties...

"So you're a member of the Penn State Board of Trustees, huh?"

I wanted to ask my fellow BPer's a question that I "struggle" with a bit when this [Mark May] show keeps being discussed. How do you reconcile Coach Johnson involvement on the PSU staff for all those years. You would think he had to know something was messed up. I really want to like the man because he's our coach now and is obviously a great position coach. Help me out brothers ....
It has been discussed. Originally in LJ's thread but then split off. I don't know what they named the new thread or I'd link it.

I have no evidence for this remark, none of any kind.... But, I've been thinking for some time now that good ol Joe Ped was, how do we say, not so dissimilar from the tickle monster. If that's too unclear, I am indeed suggesting dear leader was also a pedophile. This revelation only solidifies my belief, unfounded as it may be. Frankly, it's the only thing that possibly makes any sense to me regarding this colossal failure of ethics, morality.. of common human decency, at this point.

i don't necessarily think so. i think joepa was so tied to his legacy and the "success with honor" mirage he tried to portray, that he would do anything within his power to keep the charade going.

I could buy that when the old coot was covering up pedophilia for 14 years.... taking that time line to 36 years? Can't buy it.

That's a good point. I'm not making any accusations. Don't infer anything from my stance. But in 1976, I'd hope that his "dream" of 409+ wins should be so far in his future that he wouldn't let it alter his decisions - especially something like this.

Oh, come on now. I'm sure it would very easy for Joe Pa to forget that his employee was associated with these types of allegations back in the 70's....and 80's.....and 90's. I mean, heck....if I had to count all the times my vary various friends, acquaintances, co-workers, and employees were accused of pedophilia, I'd need all my fingers and toes and maybe an abacus, too.

After all, he was an old, frail, senile man during most of that time, and just can't be held responsible. He was, however, at the same time, a brilliant football coach, tactician, leader, and mentor and did things the right way, with humility, honor and grace.
