Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

The only "legit" years I can see are 1982, 1986 (national title years), 1994, and 2005 (B1G titles). I'm surprised they're missing 2008 (B1G co-title).
After being hit with a cheap shot naturally. Greatest victim of all....other than Joesus and The Family.
Had to look up the significance of 2011 for them. They were division co-champs. Division. Co-champs.

Totally...

Yeah - the first one I posted is old. They added 2008 and 2012 - not 2011. 2011 was nothing (except maybe division co-champs, like Mili said). 2012 was the year where they would have been national champions if it weren't for the corrupt NCAA and their jealousy kicking the Penn State fans' face right in the nuts. I think they put the 2012 up before the season ended, too.

I didn't think the Owls had it in them, but props to them for such fabulous PSU signs during College Gameday's visit on Saturday. Among the signs being displayed on Saturday: "North Philly is safer than Penn St.'s showers," "Senses Legal Trouble...Dies" over a picture of Joesus and "We Are...Pedophiles" on a sign bearing the PSU logo.

Naturally, BWI is enraged.

PENNSTATENATE
I mentioned this the other day, when Nov 2011 happened, their scout board was littered with stuff about Joe. It was pretty pathetic and I am starting to think they have about 95% of their fans are lunatics.

I could never root for them.

How dense can one man be? Has he viewed his own cult lately?

I love how every time they find a new reference to a group that hates them, they're all just completely taken aback. Like it's all completely unfounded and they just can't fathom why any college student would make an offensive sign in an attempt at humor.
Since they believe it only takes five minutes of FAX and EVIDENTS to convert all non-believers to the truth, they're probably just surprised their cult hasn't indoctrinated the world yet.

I like the guys who judge the entire fan base based on a few individuals.

What the F. Not just one but three extremely offensive signs. Temple fan base just sank to one of worst in my book.
It's not a fixation. I just can't stand Temple, primarily because of their obnoxious fans. I realize they're not all that way. Just nearly all the ones I've met.
Bill Cosby.

Therefore, eat a d1ck Temple.

When something happens where a Penn State fan is acting badly, (2005, 2007)
1. It's a lie. He was the victim.
2. Not all Penn State fans should be judged based on that guy.
3. It's a lie. It never happened.
4. He wasn't really a Penn State fan.

This is the first thread I've seen on BWI about Barrett's suspension. It's surprisingly tame and sane. Some calling for Meyer to be more strict. But I've heard the same from Ohio State fans. Of course, the Penn State fans carry it on to saying that it's "SOP for Meyer", saying that he's not a disciplinarian. Meh.

http://bwi.forums.rivals.com/threads/meyers-handling-of-barrett.56771/

Anyway, I skimmed through page 1 of the 2 pages, and didn't see anything worth laughing at. Why am I posting it? Maybe I'm hoping that Penn State fans are growing up.

The thread degenerated as usual.

This thread really degenerated quickly into "You're an idiot." "No, YOU'RE an idiot." "No, YOU'RE an idiot." "No..."
And we were getting along so well...
I think everyone knows that Joe wouldn't have tolerated this kind of stuff from his walk-ons or from his all-Americans. But Joe (RIP) isn't in Columbus, in position of charge. That's UM's job, and he can run it as he sees fit. He can point to the scoreboard on the field all he wants, and think he's doing it right. Our best revenge is to live well. We'll point to the scoreboard of life, and know we're doing it right.
Why is Paterno even in the conversation? These people have so many issues.

That's because they're constantly bragging to each other with their made up stories of how either A) "people are really supportive of Joe" out there or B) those that aren't have their minds changed within 5 minutes after the cultist patiently explains the false narrative and rush to judgment by the media and BoT. They think they're winning, so when the true reality of how they and Joesus are viewed hits them in the face, it's a shock that their simple, chimp-like, cultist minds can't handle.

You're much more in the thick of it than I am. But doesn't everything revolve around St. Joe? Don't all conversations come back to Joe? It's kind of like the six degrees of Kevin Bacon, but with Joe Paterno.
"Some asswipe cut me off on the freeway this morning. He was driving a red convertible."
"I drove a red car once. It was an SUV though. It ran pretty smoothly."
"You know what else is smooth? This whiskey is smooth. I like it."
"I never really liked whiskey. I just go for beer."
"Speaking of beer, I saw Keith Olberman last night on some show. What a D-Bag."
"Yeah. I've never heard of Keith Olberman, but I hate the BOT for what they did to Joe. All he did was graduate all his players and make them into angels on earth, and the BOT gave him cancer and killed him."

6 degrees.

You left out their story of personally meeting Joesus while he was taking out the trash or standing in line at the bank and how kind and humble the great man was.
