It would be glorious if the feds would take over & hence move the case out of state for trial.
There might be a chance of an actual conviction occurring.

On a unrelated matter (since I know Taos & some others have expressed concern for Gatorubet's well-being during his extended exile) I think I may have stumbled across a sign of his continued existence and good health.

Your Honor, I would now like to introduce into evidence Exhibit X:

Lawyers, now that US Attorney's Office involved, Corbett has a problem, no?

Keep in mind, the case was initiated in 2008 by the Clinton County CYS Office who implicated both The Second Mile and its well known Founder. Centre County DA forwards to Corbett after the case was turned over to him by Clinton County DA (presumably, the Clinton County DA did this because Sandusky lived in Centre County and some, not all, of the assaults happened there). Somehow, both Sandusky and The Second Mile are alerted to the fact that they are the subject of an investigation back in this timeframe (It is unclear who told Sandusky this information. However, we know Gerald Rosamilia, the Director of the Clinton County CYS stated that he called The Second Mile and spoke with Katherine Genovese, the #2 Executive at The Second Mile. During that conversation, Rosamilia told Genovese that Clinton County CYS was formally terminating their relationship with The Second Mile due to a sexual assault complaint by Clinton County student against a Second Mile counselor, complaint had been forwarded for investigation to authorities and the charity's personnel would no longer be permitted access to Clinton County Schools. Rosamilia says Genovese correctly guessed that the COMPLAINT was filed against Sandusky. The Second Mile says that they were informed by Sandusky of the investigation which appears to be BS and the diametric opposite appears to be the case! The Second Mile appears to have tipped Sandusky to the investigation which subsequently sparked the letter from Sandusky.).

So, The Second Mile bans Sandusky from access to children sometime in the late-2008 or early-2009 timeframe, but it remains unclear if The Second Mile reported the complaint to the DPW which they are required to do under their DPW-sanctioned Childcare Licenses (doubtful, because we now know that The Second Mile did not even tell their own Board of Directors - we know this because several have come out and said it including a prominent Centre County Judge!!). The Second Mile does not strip Sandusky of his position as the single most powerful person at the chairty via it's By-Laws and he remains the "face" of the charity and its PRIMARY SPOKESPERSON AND FUNDRAISER!! Given The Second Mile's attempts to keep the 2008 investigation hush-hush, wouldn't this be used against them for their handling of the 2002 incident which WAS FORMALLY REPORTED TO THEM BY PSU (i.e., The Second Mile decided not to report that one to DPW either....)? Additionally, given the Attorney General's mandate in regards to its Charitable Trusts and Organizations Division as well as its Child Predator Unit, how on earth does Attorney General Corbett not investigate The Second Mile based on the 2008 case he was forwarded in March 2009 given the fact that it was initiated by the Clinton County CYS Office and IMPLICATED BOTH THE SECOND MILE AND ITS PROMINENT FOUNDER (the most powerful person at the charity via the charities BY-LAWS!!!). At the same time, the Centre County Government is helping The Second Mile obtain a $3 million Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program Grant from the State of Pennsylvania and Second Mile Board Members are actively supporting Attorney General Corbett's run for Governor. The $3 million grant application is for the construction of a new headquarters, "The Center For Excellence", for The Second Mile which would give it its own campus and facilities (the property where it would be located had been purchased from PSU back in 2002 - more evidence it was Spanier & BOT who continued to do business, and maintain a friendly relationship, with Sandusky -- not JVP!!). The Chairman of the Board of The Second Mile, Robert Poole, is Corbett's biggest backer in Centre County during his run for Governor and even hosts a fundraiser for Corbett at his home. The Second Mile has extreme confidence that they will get the State-Sponsored Redevelopment Grant and begins fundraising EARMARKED for the project!! The charity raises millions of dollars in donations in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and the Attorney General Corbett never bats an eye or even bothers to take a look at The Second Mile despite the Clinton County CYS Office Complaint and the Attorney General's MANDATE OF "CONSUMER PROTECTION" IN REGARDS TO CHARITIES AND "Investigates and initiates legal actions against charitable organizations and/or their professional fundraisers to ensure that charitable donations are lawfully raised and expended;".

Please do tell how Attorney General Corbett was not CONFLICTED the moment he received the 2008 case in March 2009 and rather then declare his conflicts and bring the Feds in, he elected to do nothing IN VIOLATION OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S MANDATE TO PROTECT CONSUMERS FROM CHARITIES LIKE THE SECOND MILE (keep in mind, in March 2009 Sandusky, the subject of an AG-sponsored Statewide Investigating Grand Jury Investigation, WAS THE MOST POWERFUL INDIVIDUAL AT THE CHARITY VIA ITS BY-LAWS, THE FACE OF THE CHARITY AND ITS PRIMARY FUNDRAISER!!). If I donated money to The Second Mile in 2009, 2010 or 2011 (and many donated significant sums during this time period), I want my money back and I am suing not only The Second Mile, but the State of Pennsylvania via the PAG's Office for clear malfeasance and dereliction of duty. Lance Shaner already filed such a suit in late January. Subsequent to its filing, the Centre Daily Times ran an article that Shaner "planned" to withdrawal the suit but there was never confirmation that the suit, in fact, was ever withdrawn.

In any event, I think Corbett has a major league problem in regards to his clear conflicts with The Second Mile. Interesting that he just never bothered to even look at The Second Mile and The Second Mile is chalk full of extremely wealthy and powerful Board Members who were large supporters of Corbett's run for Governor. Corbett as AG didn't even investigate The Second Mile despite the fact that the FOUNDER, MOST POWERFUL INDIVIDUAL AT THE CHARITY VIA BY-LAWS, THE FACE OF THE CHARITY AND PRIMARY FUND RAISER WAS THE SUBJECT OF A STATEWIDE INVESTIGATING GRAND JURY??? This has the potential to become the biggest scandal within the Pennsylvania State Government since R. Budd Dwyer and isn't it ironic that Corbett is attached at the hip with R. Budd Dwyer's Co-Defendant in that case of political graft and corruption???

Nice to know Gator's kept busy during his hiatus from BP.

Michael Isikoff, reporting on NBC Nightly News this evening:

"There's now a federal criminal investigation into whether top Penn State officials and board members may have covered up alleged child sex abuse by former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky, including possible payments of hush money. A grand jury subpoena demands that the school turn over records about Sandusky dating back to 1998, as well as the computer hard drives of Penn State's former President and two other former senior officials. NBC News has learned federal prosecutors also have requested files about Sandusky from the family of the late coach Joe Paterno.

Sandusky is already facing more than 50 counts of child sex abuse brought by Pennsylvania's state prosecutors. But this new federal inquiry goes beyond that to determine whether there was obstruction of justice or fraud. Penn State is fully cooperating, a spokeswoman said."

I'll bet anyone on here $1K we dont lose any 'ships or one bowl game.

The media frenzy is a two part attack. One becasue it involved children and two because they are people (ESPN for example) jealous of Penn State's history of running a clean program

now it is all so clear, the actions of every entity in the world are driven by their collective envy of the perfection that is Penn State

nope. espn is jealous -- jealous, i say -- that psu runs a clean program.

more conspiracy nonsense:

Well, I cannot say with certainty...because I am not personally conducting an investigation. As we know, of course, there ARE people and organizations who are conducting investigations. I could leave it at that, and then you could respond that I have nothing.

But, I do have something. The Sollars firm has it, too. And, if I am reading between the lines correctly, the Feds now have it, too.

It's not about allegations of sexual abuse. It's about political/governmental shenanigans. It goes without saying, I think, that people on football message boards don't really want to consider political aspects of stories that otherwise do interest them. However, I think it has to be done in this case.

There was an attempt here to take over our University. I expect the Feds will bring that out.

Some will want to call this a convoluted conspiracy theory. In fact, for me, it is the simplest explanation. Because, as I think the discussions here since November have shown, we have a shortage of simple explanations. And, the simple explanation is usually the right one.

Try to explain 3rd party payments away you prick!! You defamed a good man while representing a group not fit to shine his shoes!

:smash::smash::smash::smash::smash::smash::smash:

Amazing. Somehow, they're certain that the federal investigation takes down the Governor, the Board of Trustees and the university administration who were all knee deep in any cover up, yet the most powerful man on that campus was uniquely innocent and in the dark like Chance the fucking gardener in black nikes.

I'd be willing to take that bet. How many other hundred BP'ers want to go in on that one? Easy money. Do they really think they're not going to lose a single scholarship over this, let alone a bowl game??

I mean, the pedtards thought Tressel's cover-up was bad. If the Feds find what they are implying might have happend... that would make Tressel's transgression look like amature night. PSU's transgression would be the very definition of Lack of Instituational Control.

There's not a more naive fanbase in the country than the one that resides in Happy Valley. It's hard to imagine reading this such that these guys are actually being serious.
