They're convincing themselves that Mike Munchak, who has been with the Titans/Oilers franchise since the dawn of time, will leave his NFL HC gig to take over a program that has been tarnished and has a tremendous amount of uncertainty hanging over it's head. Even funnier, one poster says he will come in and immediately begin handing UFM his ass. Cults are funny.

Nevermind for a moment the fact that it ain't happenin'... Some dude with ZERO championships as a player or coach, college or pro, is going to hand Meyer his ass? Some dude who has spent ZERO days recruiting in his coaching career is going to hand Meyer his ass? :slappy:

Almost as good as all the posts that say either: a) UFM was Ped State bound until the scandal broke, or b) they didn't want Meyer.

Can you imagine the utter shock that will set in when these guys see how low their program really has sunk? Up to now, it was the St. Joe Pa program. Now, it's Jerry Sandusky. A few really bad recruiting years and they will be ready for the MAC.

Last year's recruiting class wasn't anything to write home about (#34 class per scout) and some of the bigger get's from the pervious couple years haven't really panned out so far . Their QB situation is a mess, they have no legit WRs, the OL is an issue. They haven't recruited up to snuff on defense...this class is an impending disaster. They're about to go south in a hurry, especially if Redd keeps getting dinged up and Paul Jones can't get his grades in order. That job is not attractive in the least to anybody with any options.

Very true Steve. 17 and 18 year olds are impressionable. A year or so of "Ped State" and "Fudgepacker U" jokes will start to have an actual effect on recruiting. If the place is "Toxic" to coaches, it sure as hell will not be attractive to kids wanting to play for the hot coaches. Timing wise, Urban's arrival could not have been at a better time for the conference. It slaps down the baby steps of TSUN - and makes the nits lose all hope.

And really, a Gator Bowl loss will be shook off immediately as the last Before Urban event, while a win will further cement the idea that the hot Coach has formally transferred all BCSNC mojo to his new base location. All good stuff.
