If the settlement today was the final significant legal event in the horrific saga which began with the precipitous actions of the BOT in November 2011 and continued with the Emmert announcement of sanctions against Penn State, today would be a bittersweet moment for those of us who asserted publicly that the BOT and Erickson had failed the University and should resign. And that we wanted to know what happened and why it happened.
