Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Move aside, the Pedos are on the verge of dominating the Big 10: Thread titled "Just think how close we are to dominating this conference."

https://bwi.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=36&tid=176272601&mid=176272601&sid=890&style=2

LV-Lion99: "We maintained winning records the past two seasons and will have at least 6 wins this season despite hitting the depths of our sanctions.... With the exception of a couple conference games, we have been competitive in-conference throughout these 3 sanction seasons. The refs blatantly stole a win against OSU from us this season. I am pleasantly surprised the defense can play at a high level this season, and will at least maintain that level next season, if not improve. The O-Line will improve over the next two seasons. 7 - 9 wins next season and look for 9+ wins in 2016 as we rebuild post-sanction years."

LV-Lion99: "We are 2 solid O-linemen away from being undefeated, or at worst 5-1 in conference THIS season.... just think of how bright the future is as we come back to full strength. Geez, we are probably only 1 offensive lineman away from being 4-2 in conference."

dawgjuice: "OSU has always been dominate in the BIG. Mich used to be. We started out that way, but Joe aged and his ego prevented him from moving on. I do believe Franklin will restore us to the top and compete year in and year out with OSU and Michigan (they will be back as well, maybe under Hoke)."

SoutheasternPABuckHunter: "We are aiming to dominate on the national level. Eff these inbred hicks from the slow footed B1G."

I accidentally clicked on the premium board over at BWI so obviously I can't see any of the threads....but I can see the topics. Here's my favorite:
They're on the verge of dominating the conference and they only lose because the refs won't let them win...but beating Indiana at football is huge. They scored 3 more points than Indiana State did in the process.

So someone new, Temple law professor Barbara Ashcroft, apparently says stuff about Penn State. I didn't click their link. I found a Penn Stater's summary of his gripes:

If the professionals had done their job in 1998, there wouldn't be nearly as many vicitims. Why not write an article on this aspect if you really value helping kids over getting internet clicks?
  • If MM, his dad, or Dr. Dranov had directly reported this, there wouldn't be nearly as many victims. (they most likely didn't report anything because there was nothing to report other than horseplay)
  • How many victims actually took place after 2001?? Isn't only like one or two, and both off campus?
  • Joe got a watered down version, once he put MM directly in contact with his superiors, he was no longer involved.
  • Her point of view is tainted with today's knowledge of the situation. In 2001, JS was a saint who had been falsely accused a few years earlier. Simply filing a report doesn't mean he is stopped.

(bold is not mine)
It's hard to argue with these.
#1 - Yeah, professionals dropped the ball in 1998. All victims (or whatever you want to call them) after 1998 can thank whoever these professionals are.
#2 - Well, yeah. If they had gone to the police, Sandusky would have been arrested at that time. Or did Paterno have enough sway over the community that it still would have been covered up?
#3 - So, only 1 or 2 victims is a win, in their minds?
#4 - I call BS. If he got a watered-down report from McQueary, he should have pressed for details, and picked up the phone, called police, and have McQueary talk to the police at that time - not have him have a meeting with his supervisors.
#5 - Ha. "Her point of view is taineted with today's knowledge of the situation." Isn't that called "hindsight"? What do they say about hindsight? So.. the argument is that she is right, but only because she knows the facts we do today. Nice.

What kind of report would you expect from the showers?

So many of their rebuttals start with "If somebody else had done whatever in 1998.....". Yeah, you're right. But they didn't. And then it fell on Paterno. And he made sure it wasn't found out by the public for over a decade. Other people's in-actions don't save Paterno, you fuckwits.

This is the single point that they will never understand or accept. Somehow they think that if they add more people to the list of those that did nothing it waters down the percentage of culpability that Joesus has.
