tongue's in cheeks? Pretty sure it was Linda and sometime around 10:30 - 11. Very authoritive, well spoken, not your usual, "I don't understand why they don't play single wing," bozo call. The guys doing the show seemed extremely impressed.
I think we're seeing the pressure behind closed doors through JT..

Listen to him at press confrences and the emotion on the sideline.. JT isn't being the "JT" we know as of late, IMHO.. not that theres anything wrong with it, I've picked up on a diffrence in his demeanor and think it has something to do with the men behind the scenes..

I think if the O-line were world-class.. Todd would never have lost his QB spot... and last night's game would have been significantly different... I was hoping Todd would be used last night, but then PSU would have just brought the house, and the OL would let him get embarrased again...

We all drank the kool-aid about how this O-line would be world beaters... and it's been anything but... just a shame Adams and Shugart aren't in there.. at least we could think that we're getting better for the future...

I love Brewster but yesterdays game sure showed him that he'd better hit the weight room with a vengeance... cuz he got manhandled... that should show all the OL kids, that attitude is not enuf.. they'd better bring raw strength...

Was almost embarrassing how national TV was able to clearly show Browning is not the man to handle the RT spot on a NC-caliber team... Heck, I found myself wishing the kid from Glenville was in there last night...

Sure makes it easier on the betting arena.. cuz they cost me everything..

Well, how about from JT himself: "One turnover was the ballgame."

I didn't hear this at the press conference, but it pisses me off. Why?

How about not creating a fucking game plan that doesn't allow for ONE mistake by a true freshman QB playing against the #3 team in the country. A true freshman has one mistake and that costs them the game? Bullshit. That's all on the coaches. If you are going to gameplan so as not to allow for ONE mistake by a true freshman QB then shame on you.
Hey coaches, How about one iota of creativity out of the offensive play calling to take some of the heat off of Beanie and Terrelle? Something, anything to make the PSU D loosen up just a little. Hey O line, how about coming out with a little fire under your ass and play like you care. Terrelle,a 19 year old, shouldered the blame for this loss and then Tress says that? Bullshit. I'm shocked that he said that.

Browning is from Glenville. So there's some confusion here.
How did all the WR's end up in the end zone if that wasn't the play called? (it probably was designed that way) Or Pryor just panicked which I totally understand. I also believe Pryor was physically exhausted at the end and that hurt his performance.

The defense was very solid for the most part. D. Wil was a non-factor. State Penn's offense was held to 3 points with 11 minutes left in the game. A worthy achievement.

We were so close to beating a better team. So very close.

I feel like this is where this team has been in many cases this year as opposed to going out and putting the hurt on a team, like we did to MSU, thanks to some takeaways.

Even in the MSU game we buttoned it up in the second half, by running 18 straight times, instead of taking that opportunity to work on the passing game....

Hey, don't get me wrong - I'm all for pounding it 18 straight times if we're up by 3 or 4 scores in the second half like we were against MSU.

But look at the Purdon't game. That first quarter was the perfect recipe for a blowout - and we didn't do it.
This game set up for having a comfortable lead by the time of the fumble. I think there were many big play opportunities if we would have tried for them on first and second down.
The '05 TX game we could have at least tried to get TDs after the TX turnovers gave us short fields, and it was like "well, let's not give it back to them and maybe we'll get a FG".
Could go on and on, but what's the point?

We've all talked about the defense getting more aggressive, and since we have the last few games, it's reaped benefits.
I only wish we would match that confidence on the other side of the ball.

Get Browning out at tackle, or at least put a TE or have a RB chip the DE on his side, something to have a chance at success.
Honestly, both he and Rehring could have been called for holding a couple of times each because they kept getting beat by speed.
Anyway, play-action on first or second down would take alot of pressure off the struggling O-line.

We always seem to run our plays into the strength of the defense, and then wonder why we don't score more points.

I don't know if Tressel said it, but Paterno did -- they have played that clip of him saying it a dozen times in the College scoreboard show that ESPN is showing on its family of networks today.

bingo about Todd and Brown's from Glenville and a top recruit linemen Marcus Hall is from Glenville too. Hall should of stole Browns PADS.

I think JT needs to take a good look in the mirror this offseason. He does not have a very good record against evenly matched (talent wise and coaching wise) teams over the last 4-5 years. I think, as others have alluded to here, that he relies on "Tressel ball" avoid mistakes and rely on your defense to win the game. Let's look at some of the losses, Bucky Badger beat tOSU in 2003 by playing mistake free ball and having one big play, Texas beat us with VY by tOSU allowing them to stay in the game and VY winning it at the end, I'd rather not talk about UF, LSU or USC, but they are more examples where "Tressel ball" did not work against teams who were well coached with simlilar talent. OSU has beaten scUM numerous times as well as Cryami, ND, Kansas State and Texas recently, but scUM was coached by LLLLLLoyd, whose number JT had, Cryami had Larry Coker, who when last I checked was still out of work, ND, nuff said, Kansas State did not have the talent to match tOSU and Texas was VYless starting a true frosh in McCoy.

I'm afraid that if tOSU is to win another NC, JT may need to re-evaluate how he approaches games. When the B10 is down, the Bucks will finish on top more times than not, but have not been able to compete with the other National elite.

I would not trade JT for any other coach in football, but I do hope he makes adjustments and keeps tOSU on the cutting edge of FBS (what a pitiful handle) football.

Jim Tressel does not look in the mirror. The mirror looks at Jim Tressel.

Agreed. JT has all the ingredients at his disposal. He just needs to find the right formula to put them all together and BAM, Terrelle Pryor will be leading us into a national championship and we will WIN!!! :oh:

All Im gonna say, is that if our offense shows up and performs like an Ohio St. offense should perform... we're hailing our defense as brilliant today..

I can only imagine how much stress our D was under knowing our offense is inept, and that they basically had to be perfect every series against one of the most explosive offenses in CFB this yr..

in my opinion, the problem was TP's lack of "live game reps" throwing the football throughout the year. You can't have a true frosh throwing it 10-15 times a game and then expect him to win it for you in the 4th quarter. It may have worked against Wisky....but they are terrible.

There is no excuse for the lack of pass attempts for TP this season. Hopefully now that most of the goals for this season are unatainable, we will see something different.

Lets get this kid ready for next year because we are going to need to score a hellava lot a points to win games without #1, #33, and #2 on defense.
