Peach Bowl: #1 Georgia vs #4 tOSU, Sat 12/31 8 ET on ESPN

Surrendering 20 plus yards on 10 occasions throughout the course of a single game is fucking brutal. I didn’t come in to point a pitch fork but goddamn man, that can’t happen
Yes and that's what's different about this game than 2019 Clemson. We did enough to win but we did enough to lose too.

I find peace in that our defensive performance was a losing performance. Sure the targeting call is what really hurt but who's to say if we don't score they don't push it more to keep up?

Meaning, maybe having Harrison does get us to 50 points but who's to say UGA doesnt press even more to get to 51? Our defense just really didn't get it done and that sucks considering we got a stop on the first drive and forced an interception on their 3rd possession. Just had a terrible 2nd and 4th quarter.

Had this fucking game. Had it in their hands. Against all odds, injuries, and nothing going their way in game for calls. Still fucking had it.....and lost it. Really sums up this season. Shit, this one still hurts.
I still randomly shake my head in disbelief 2 days later. What sucks right now is all the OSU sites have game information still up and my YouTube is littered with "what went wrong" videos. Can't wait for a month when all this stuff stops so I can just forget about this.

I'll never watch this games highlights. I'm going to forget about this one and move on.

Amen. I just want to avoid any other platform than BP about the game. It's a brutal loss and not one I really want to relive.

Here's also some things that help me cope with some things not going our way this game.

1. Georgia forces a fumble from Harrison, two UGA players collide going for the ball and it goes out of bounds. I believe we later scored a TD on that drive.

2. Georgia on their opening drive missed a wide open touchdown on a zone read. Once the play started I immediately hung my head because Macintosh was so wide open. For some reason, Stetson keeps it and gets stopped.

3. Georgia missed two field goals as well.

I'm sure there's more bounces that went our way but I'm just not remembering them. I don't feel so bad now thinking about the targeting, the fake punt issue, and the overturned 4th down (which I felt was a first down anyways).

There were breaks in both directions. These teams were so evenly matched but it's hard to imagine UGA beating OSU if we have Jaxon and Henderson. IMO at full health we are a good bit better than the team who's going to win it all. But as it stood these teams went back and forth and it came down to a missed long field goal.

I think you missed the part “as a thirteen year old” couldn’t understand the penalty. The NFL games were on all the time and OSU was on 2 maybe 3 times a year. Obviously as an adult you know the rules a whole lot better than you did as a kid….
Sorry, didn’t mean my response as anything other than what I knew, but I understand your response.

I’ve watched the missed FG by Ruggles now a few times.

It’s curious…..Ruggles consoles Micro immediately after kick. Micro is acting as if he’s at fault. I’ve watched the mechanics close to 20 times and don’t see much wrong with the hold. The snap came back a bit wobbly but seems Micro got it down with laces out.

Has there been any info on that play, and potentially if something happened on the process?

IMO, Ruggles unfortunately got an awful strike on ball…..but the replay really seems to indicate Micro felt guilty about something in the process. It’s hard to watch, but if you watch it all the way through, it really feels like Micro is the one who had the body language of a mistake being made.

I think Mirco was just upset losing that's all. Seemed like a good hold.

I can't watch that replay, but in real time something seemed off with the timing to me. I remember thinking as soon as the ball was snapped something was off.
Mirco looked like it was down and to the right with the way he shifted and might have been a little late getting it into position.

So he might have thought he screwed up and Ruggles was just telling him he did his job he just missed the kick or something like that

This.

And not many are pointing out how much Georgia controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides almost the entire game. Stroud kept us in it by playin out of his mind.

They controlled the line of scrimmage in the run but the pass we had some wonderful pockets. Yes they got pressure at times but they did not control the like like scrimmage against the pass at all
