Peach Bowl: #1 Georgia vs #4 tOSU, Sat 12/31 8 ET on ESPN

There are certain intangibles some of the guys above have, I believe you're selling quite a few of our past dawgs short. Copium is a helluva drug, Dwayne Haskins and Troy Smith make all the passes CJ can't when he goes cold. Krenzel was a winner.
Krenzel had a greater D than anything in a decade besides Georgia. he won games scoring 3 pts.

Troy wasn't troy until his final year, and that year he got Florida'd.

Let me know when some more positive reading is on the site. Everything from recruiting to the CFP is the world is ending. I'm more disappointed than most in the outcome of this season, but I need some light at the end of the tunnel lol.
Buckeyes by 10. Going to be healthy on the O line and at RB. Defensively LB hands should be good and healthy secondary. Got those Ohio vs The World and nobody even offering a smidgen of respect. Time to blow up some faces and shit on the doubters

Few things.

1. Their OTs aren't elite. Looked into this unit further and they're fairly young. They're very good but they're not the 4/5 year guys ttun had. I think our DL can hold up vs Georgia (particularly on the edges).

2. Watched further tape (Kentucky) and again there was a big run given up right through the middle. That will be there if we are patient.

I tend to think we are giving them far too much credit up front on both sides and not having enough belief in our talent there. We are a good pass pro OL and they aren't elite there. We are a good (not great) pass rush DL and there's opportunity there as well.

Buckeyes come out and punch Georgia in the mouth early. Bulldogs start to realize they bit off more than they can chew before the first half closes. They have zero answers for the ground/passing attack.

They get the Wisconsin treatment with a sound blowout.

The rest of the world wonders where the hell this came from.

Troy has 3 wins against scUM none of the QBs behind him has that..the how why is immaterial. He completed his assignment. I don’t need my tOSU QB to be all pro throw pretty be smart or be a great human being. Beat scUM.

Whew I wish...but how I'm currently feeling?

Georgia is surprised by our ability to run the ball down hill and we hit some big plays through the air. Georgia has no where to run the ball early but have success with the intermediate throw game (although we are making it uncomfortable for Stetson). As the game goes on Georgia starts finding more success running the ball but less throwing. While we maintain balance through the game.

Georgia has some turnovers (which they're prone to) and the Bucks make 1 special teams play to win 38-31.

A win is a win, but a game won this way might make me see woody in more ways than one.

UGh is good, but it's not middle of the dynasty run Alabama good like the good folk here in The A seem to think.
They aren't as good as the 2014 Alabama team that we beat. Don't really care what anyone says.

That Alabama team had equal talent up front, equal secondary, better RBs, much better WRs, and maybe slightly less QB play (although more mobile).

We can do this again and IMO the best thing that's happened to us? Stetson Bennett. He is a Heisman finalist. Our defense will now take this kid seriously as no one else has. I hope CJ finished 3rd behind Williams and Bennett because that will create a fucking fire.

The "LSU passed for 500 yards" thing is a mirage. It was 35-10 at halftime. The game was essentially over. Georgia was on cruise control in the second half, when LSU piled up most of those yards, and the Tigers never threatened them despite scoring 20 points that half. The closest LSU ever got was 18 points.

The 2014 comparisons don't add up, either. Zeke rushed for over 200 yards in the CCG and both playoff games. Does anyone think this team is going to come close to that versus Georgia? UGa led the nation in rush yards allowed per game. They also led in red zone scoring defense.

I'm sure I'll be excited for the game as kickoff approaches, but objectively I'm hoping not to get run out of ATL by "SEC" chants in the 3rd quarter.
If we’re playing the 2014 comparison game, I seem to remember feeling dread going into the bama game thinking how likely we were to get housed-and the majority of fans felt the same way.

That team had receivers (Evan Spencer, e.g.) who could block on run plays and a running QB. OSU could beat UGA; none of us knows the outcome obviously. But 2014 is a depressing comparison.

In 2014 we also didn't really know yet what we had in Zeke Elliot Mike Thomas nor could we imagine the heroics of our 3rd string QB being enough.

We know what we've got (good and bad) with this '22 team.

I think the '14 comps are just pure wish casting myself.

100%. These 2 teams are not similar in so many ways

This is different when looking at this team. We are the overwhelming underdogs here and going into Georgia (the state) nonetheless. Couple that with never being an underdog for the past 2 seasons? I don't think we have the slightest idea what this team is made of. This group of guys? Has ALWAYS been favored by a minimum of 9.5 points.

Same for that 2014 team btw we hold so dear. They were always the favorite until they weren't.

It's all there. Let's give these men a chance.
