Peach Bowl: #1 Georgia vs #4 tOSU, Sat 12/31 8 ET on ESPN

Sorry guys you had this damn thing won.

Day got tight and conservative at the end at that was the damn game.

in case you are wondering that’s how they beat bama too but knocking their best receivers out of the game. If you think that’s a coincidence……
furious and sick over this and I am not even a true buckeye fan. If they beat TCU they will be completely un freaking bearable for next year.
Think about the most obnoxious, stupid total jerk you know winning the big lottery and believing it was due to his skill and that is Georgia fans right now

UGA= the new Alabama

Although I will say either Bennett has had media training or he really isn't as obnoxious as I thought he was bc his interview after the game gave us major props. Or-- His handsomeness really is hypnotic.

Let's just hope TCU can really solidify their Cinderella Story/Comeback Kids reputation in the Big Game.

That's my final thought for the night too.

I cannot say enough how impressed I am with CJ Stroud. That kid finally took off when we needed and literally plowed into a safety like Cardale for his team to win. We missed a field goal to win it at the horn and that's terrible for Ruggles.

I wish we had tried harder to score 7 in the end but we had our shot. Proud of these kids for fighting.

Yeah the last drive we needed to play like we were going for 7 just so we don't leave a 50 yarder for Ruggles when we know he's accurate from short distance but doesn't have much leg. You leave him a 40 yarder and we're likely heading to the Natty.

It’s like Day and the team were surprised when we got to the 32 and we played and coached like it after that. I know Ga called the time out but I’d have thrown deep on 1st down to show we are going for your soul.

I’m still pissed about the refs call on the Harrison injury. I mean the DB “launched” at a defenseless player. Couldn’t he have called “Unnecessary Roughness WITH targeting? “. That way the 15 yard penalty sticks despite the review and reversal. Essentially, a targeting review only determines whether he stays in the game. Isn’t that combo call possible?

I thought it could've gone either way... that said I think you let it stand in that case.

I’m not sure how Harrison was concussed and that wasn’t targeting. Play definitely swung the game in UGAs favor.

Buckeyes have been bitten in the ass in 2 playoff games now but shitty replay officials.
No. For two playoff games we didn't do enough to not make that a potential issue.

We were up 14 twice and failed to put them away. Credit some to them for fighting back.

The screw job on the fumble recovery and return was a huge swing in points and momentum.

The Harrison overturn was a potential 4 point swing, plus the loss of arguably the best WR in college FB. Not having him out there the last quarter was also a huge loss. The overturn of the 4th down play was another moment swing after a big stop and cost 3 points. That 3 points alone was enough to lose the game.

Not saying that UGA doesn’t deserve credit for not quitting, but to believe both games were not tremendously impacted by replay is comical.

Bottom line. That was too violent of a hit on a defenseless player to not have something called.

That's where I'm at on it. I think it's understandable that targeting is a borderline call there given what was visible and "obvious" on the replay (no easily discernible hit directly to the head/neck, there is plausibility that the initial contact was to/with the shoulders), but it was an excessive hit on a defenseless player who had likely also stepped OOB and was ineligible. Something has to stand as a penalty in that situation, to protect both players.

To blame the loss on those calls isn't right though.

Maybe we should learn to defend the vertical routes first before believing a targeting call reversal changed everything.

Happy New Year. A heartbreaker, but I take solace in how humiliating TTUNs loss was, in comparison.

My ongoing concern is 100% around the losses to TTUN. I can support any coach at OSU, though he loses the occasional game and CFB bowl games. Of course he does. But don't lose The Game.

That said, I have hope that Day can come around - and that this laughable loss to TCU means Harbaugh is back on the all-around loser trail, where he belongs.
