Saw a post over on 11W that says OSU is trying to convince Simmons to stay. Supposedly received a third round eval for the draft.

I think people forget how good they were running the ball until he was injured. Had 120 on the ground in the first half against Oregon before he went down.

How do you know he’ll rebound from his injury?
You don’t.
You’re betting the odds that he will based on general medical guidance on his type of injury and any detailed info he is sharing with you. All of that goes against whoever you think you are going to get instead of him with those same dollars.

I’m not against paying him. I’m just concerned that he’s going to struggle returning from the injury. He’s a big guy and his weight could be an issue and hamper him.
Are you better off trying to use that money for a the NW tackle or another transfer?

I mean that’s a lot of money but he’s a first round tackle when healthy so he’d be worth it provided he stays healthy.
I wonder in situations like this if 1.5mil+ another 1.5 if he stays healthy would work?
