OT Josh “Jimmy” Simmons (Official Thread)

This young man has been a great addition to the team. His first year plenty of people questioned his abilities. Experience and coaching combined with his hard work has created a grown ass man.

Glad he's here. Glad he's one of ours. Hope we get one more year with him... but I understand that we may not. If that's the case, I'm more than happy with his contributions.

Simmons has been incredible, it's worked great on both ends. We've had one elite LT in the last 10 years imo and it was Paris. Simmons is on par if he keeps it up. Just keep kicking ass my brother.

He’s consistently been a good pass blocker. However, last year, he started as one of the worst run blocking OL I’ve seen at OSU and ended as quite good. He’s continued improving this year, making the left side of our OL devastating.

we are flush with skill players though, including QB. This would be different

The bye couldn’t have come at a better time for them to re-jigger what they are going to have to do on the OL.

I believe that Simmons has one more year of eligibility. If so, I’m glad that he can make decisions for his future without having his hand forced by timing or depending on a medical red-shirt.

I suspect he’s back next year.
