more smoke that there may be backcourt attrition, though this one is odd since jamarius burton is a conventional transfer, not a grad transfer who can play right away unless there is a possible waiver i'm not aware of. burton was wichita state's point guard with combo/wing size and skills.
gotta say, ho1tmann pursuing sit-one guards confuses me a little. if they'd take burton, then perhaps we'll see more than two departures -- or maybe the staff is confident in washington as the point guard when spelling walker. i'd love for carton to return to the team, obviously, but i think the staff learned quite a bit when walker became "the guy."

like walker and woods, ho1tmann offered burton while at butler. makes more sense that the staff is kicking the tires with a vetted player. i don't know how it would work with scholarship numbers next year or with 2021/22 recruiting, but burton would be fit nicely after losing walker.

carter whitt and lynn greer are two 2021 point guards osu has offered. they're also two point guards who are considering a reclassification into 2020. wonder how much ho1tmann pursues them now for next season.

don't understand this one from the vantage point of what ho1tmann's presumed playing style wants to be, but there is little harm in kicking all tires. perhaps the interest is another indication of what kaleb's decision is or will be, though my guess is that kaleb has not yet made up his mind.

No, that's not a typo. Yes, he's 7-foot-3.
In the same vein as Tapé, Markusson might be a one-year stopgap between Kaleb Wesson leaving for the NBA and the younger big men taking over. Ohio State is one of the schools that has been in contact with him.
Markusson, as a junior in 2018-19, averaged 10.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 25.6 minutes per game as a starter for Loyola Marymount. He shot 58.6 percent from the field and 76.1 percent from the line.
He redshirted last season and has one more year to play. ESPN ranked him as the 16th-best graduate transfer.
I'm guessing he doesn't run the floor very well and/or is prone to turnovers (i.e. or doesn't have "soft hands").

Wichita State's Morris Udeze also transferring, OSU has already reached out. Sit one, play two.
You guys may remember that Udeze was one of the 2018 bigs that this staff was recruiting to OSU before they got Ledee.
At WSU he was a decent utility post player. Scored a little, rebounded at a solid rate, good defender. But he is a 6'8 PF with not a lot of upside. Not sure how we can afford scholarship space for a player like that for the next three seasons unless Diallo is transferring.

I see OSU passing this time around. Like you said, need an impact big and not a depth guy assuming Kaleb is a goner. A good grad transfer big would be ideal. Holt does cast a wide scope of focus and then hones in on his top targets. CH is probably just kicking the tires and doing his due diligence.
