Senior
To compare him to another white guy from Kentucky, he reminds me a bit of a bigger Braxton Beverly. Only based on the short highlights we have of him.

i've run into a few buckeye posters (perhaps here, certainly elsewhere) who have cited diebler's high school stats to explain his freshman season woes. they'd cite that he didn't shoot over 40% as a senior. and i'd be all...These are really impressive numbers considering the shots he is taking in the highlights.
don't quote me on this, but i'm pretty sure he trained with the taliban that missing year after high school. say what you want about those guys, but they can really up your game. What is strange about him is that he only averaged 16 his senior year of HS. Hard to find too much on him so far.

Upon further review, it was their first home loss in three years. That was Hughes 3rd loss this year and I don't believe they made the state final 4 last year, so not sure what you are referring to on their record.
Well, it certainly is not me.I wouldn't mind an offer to McNeil, his shot mechanics are certainly impressive, but I think I'd prefer we offer the home-grown kid who loves OSU and is playing better comp in the OCC and just scored 42 points to give Cincinnati Hughes their first loss in 3 years.
Maybe that's just me.

Ohio State isn’t necessarily done with its 2019 recruiting class, and it doesn’t yet have any commitments for its 2020 recruiting class. Coach Chris Holtmann discussed both situations last week, and you can read all about it by clicking here.
During the weekend, though, the Buckeyes have made the updated lists for a pair of recruits in both classes.
In a post to his Twitter account Sunday evening, Lester Quinones included the Buckeyes among his final seven schools under consideration. A four-star shooting guard from New York, the 6-5, 180-pound Quinones is playing for Bradenton (Florida) IMG Academy and rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 9 shooting guard in the nation and the No. 64 overall recruit according to the 247Sports.com composite.

His final seven schools are Indiana, Georgia, Maryland, Memphis, Michigan, LSU and Ohio State, in alphabetical order.
Also Sunday, four-star small forward Che Evans from Lutherville Timonium (Maryland) Dulaney announced that he had cut his list to six teams. They are, in alphabetical order: Boise State, Florida, Ohio State, TCU, Texas Tech and UCLA. According to the 247Sports.com composite rankings, Evans is the No. 147 recruit in the nation, the No. 30 small forward prospect and the No. 6 overall prospect from his state.
Evans took an unofficial visit to Ohio State last October and came away with a scholarship offer. He took an official visit to Boise State in early November and followed that with an unofficial visit to UCLA. Last week, with Texas Tech in the house, Evans reached 1,000 career points.
As the roster currently stands, the Buckeyes have one available scholarship for the 2019 class after signing a three-member class in November. That trio, featuring point guard DJ Carton and forwards Alonzo Gaffney and E.J. Liddell, is rated as the No. 10 class in the nation.
